Beca was kneeling, well sorta, on the floor cleaning out her magazines from under Emily's mattress. Chloe and Jesse and Harper were moving the stuff out, and she was just about to see their progress when she got a call from the bridal salon.
Hello, Ms. Mitchell. We have an opening at 3:30 Saturday if you want it.
I'm sorry I can't do 3:30. It's my friends baby shower.
That's the only time available this weekend, I'm sorry.
Ok, I'll take it thank you
Beca threw her phone down on the bed. "Damn it!" She screamed. What was she going to do? Then she got a call from the banquet hall.
I'm afraid we overbooked, and there is another event in the room you booked. Can you reschedule for Sunday?
I can't, my wedding is on Sunday. Is there any way we can still do it?
There's a larger room you can use.
How much larger?
A thousand square feet larger.
Ok I'll take it thank you
She had to go out and buy more decorations, along with all the other stress she had on her. She got a text from Emily.
Hey, can we start tonight? I'm super excited to collaborate.
Yeah, how bout in an hour
Ok!
Beca was almost crying. Everything was falling apart and she still had the stress of collaborating. Then she got a call from her producer.
Hey, Beca! I need the track for Emily by Monday.
Ok thanks
Monday was the day after her wedding. This was too much for her. She started crying, and she didn't even know why. Chloe came in the room. "What's wrong?"
Beca started crying. "Everything is falling apart. The bridal salon canceled on me," she lied. "They booked a larger room for my wedding, so I have to go out and get more decor," she lied again. "And my producer needs the collab with Em by Monday." She started crying harder.
"But you're Beca Mitchell! You can handle the stress!" Chloe hugged her.
"I can't Chlo. Its too hard for me."
"It wasn't too hard before, Bec. I know you can do it."
Beca sat up and looked at Chloe. "Listen. I haven't told this to anyone and only my parents know, but since it was brought up, I think you should know."
"Know what?" Chloe asked.
"I'm mildly autistic," Beca said.
"What?"
"Yeah. I was super anti social when I was little so I got tested and it's mild but it's there, and it really only affects how social I am and how I handle stress."
"Why would you keep this from us?"
"Because it's not that big of a deal, and I thought it wouldn't hit me this hard. I'm just stressing too much."
Chloe hugged the tiny girl. "It's ok. You know I'm always here. I had ADHD as a kid. I grew of it by college."
"I just went off the meds. They kind of just made it easier. I'm only open with a few people, you mostly the Bella's and Anna and Jess."
"You'll get through it. I'll help you out."
"Chlo this is one thing you can't help me with, it's my brain."
