Chloe was right about not having a voice the next day. Beca felt bad that her concert had caused that, but Chloe didn't care because she had had the best night of her life. "Hey, Chlo, we're meeting Anna at Magnolia today," Beca said. "It's a celebratory, 'your legs not broken anymore' party"

Chloe smiled and nodded. She texted Beca

I have to work tomorrow. If my voice isn't better, can you help me out?

Beca nodded. "Yeah. I'm not busy tomorrow."

Thanks, Becs, I'm going to go get ready.

Chloe got up from the table and Beca texted Jesse.

Hey.

Hey, you did amazing last night! I live streamed it.

Aww thanks.

What you did for Chloe was so sweet. Your fans are amazing. I'm speaking as one of them.

You and Chlo are my biggest fans.

Are you and Chloe coming for aca-reunion in a few months?

Wouldn't miss it for the world. I gtg. Chlo and I are going for cupcakes with Anna. Luv u King.

Luv u too Queen.

Chloe came into the living room and texted Beca.

I'm ready to go.

"Good," Beca said, following Chloe out the door.

The car ride was silent until they

My boss called. The client's a 30 year old guy moving to a house with his girlfriend and needs help with kitchen designs.

"Ok," Beca said, following Chloe out the door.

The girls got out of the car to see Anna in a full leg brace. "Wow," Beca said, "that's a lot of brace for not a lot of leg."

Anna laughed. "I know. They had to give me a full one to straighten my leg and It makes sure I don't put too much pressure on it. I'm in this thing for 3 months."

"It'll fly by," Beca said.

When they got to the door, it was closed. "Closed for flooding? Will reopen Saturday?" Anna read the sign.

"That's ok, we have tons of leftover cake from last night." Beca laughed. "We were too exhausted to finish it."

The girls drove back to Beca and Chloe's house, and Beca collapsed on the couch. "I know this thing is supposed to make walking easier, but I gotta say, it's exhausting. I don't know what it is, but I'm so tired."

"Oh I know, I tried the hands free crutch, and I was too tired. Regular crutches are easier."

Chloe took a sip of water. "Yeah, Becs," she whispered, "once your wrist is better, you can get some regular crutches."

Beca smiled as she took a bite of her cake. "How's your voice?"

"It's doing better. It should be fine by tomorrow. You might not have to come."

"I'll come anyway. I won't have anything better to do."

Chloe laughed. "Hey, Anna, you wanna meet ginger?" She said with barely any sound coming out.

"Sure," Anna said, getting up.

Beca brought the cat into the living room. "Say hi, Ginger!"

The cat purred and rubbed against Anna. "Oh my gosh, she is the sweetest!"

Beca smiled. "I know! Chloe picked the best cat behind my back."

Anna got up to get something to drink. She limped to the kitchen. "You ok?" Beca asked. "I thought your leg was feeling better."

"It's weird. The brace makes it really tight, and It makes it really hard to not limp because I can't put it all the way down."

"Ok. If you need ice or anything, just let me know."

"Thanks, Becs. I should get going. I have to feed the dogs."

"Ok. Text me."

"Bye Chloe."

Chloe waved and closed the door behind Anna. "How ya feeling, Becs?" She whispered.

"Fine, I'm just tired. Walking on this thing tires me out."

"You'll be ok." Chloe mouthed to Beca. It was so funny how Beca could lip read.

"I'm glad you had a good birthday, Chlo. I wanted to make it special."

Chloe smiled. Beca didn't even have to hear a thank you to know Chloe was grateful. She knew that smile. Chloe had been through a lot to be able to smile like that. Beca was proud of her.

"You wanna do something?"

Chloe shook her head. "I'm tired," she whispered.

"Ok, we'll just hang out." Beca got her laptop and headphones from her bedroom. "I made a new mix. You wanna hear it?"

Chloe put on the headphones. It was a mix of Flashlight, Ex's and Oh's, and Die Young. After a few minutes, Chloe took her headphones off, smiled, and nodded her head. Beca got into a fit of giggles. "You're adorable when you're silent."

Chloe playfully shoved Beca, and she dramatically fell back on the couch. Beca shoved her back until they were both laughing. Beca smiled and hugged Chloe. "I don't know what I'd do without you weirdo."

Chloe smiled. "Neither do I, weirder weirdo," Chloe whispered. "I'm getting ready for bed."

"Ok, I will too." Beca stood up and limped to her room. "Goodnight, Chlo."
