The girls were hanging out for awhile, and Harper had fallen asleep on Beca's lap, so Chloe helped her out and carried her back go Beca's place. When she came back, she was really winded. Beca got a little worried. "You ok, Chlo?"
"Yep, it's just my asthma."
"You sure?"
"I'm fine. You guys want something to eat? We have leftover lasagna."
The girls nodded, and Beca got up to help Chloe with the lasagna. Chloe's breathing was weird, and Beca started freaking out. "Where's your inhaler?"
"I don't know, I haven't had a problem with it in about a year." Chloe said.
"Should I take you to the emergency room?"
"I'm ok for now."
A few minutes later, Beca and Chloe brought the lasagna out to the girls. Chloe pulled Beca aside. "I feel like I can't breathe, Bec."
"That's it I'm taking you."
"Ok," she said.
Beca went over to the girls. "Chloe's having an asthma attack, I think, and she can't fine her inhaler, so I'm taking her to the ER."
Emily stood up. "I'll come."
"It's fine, she'll probably be out of there in a little bit."
"Ok."
Beca put the music on low and kept reminding Chloe to breathe. "I'm trying, Becs," Chloe said after the 100th time Beca said it.
Beca rushed her in there quickly and they gave her an inhaler. Beca breathed a sigh of relief when Chloe used it. "Better?"
"Only a little," Chloe said.
With that, they gave her a room right away and hooked her up to an IV for hydration. Beca was forced to stay in the waiting room, so she decided to call Nick.
Hey nick, it's Beca.
Oh, hey Beca, what's up?
Um, so Chloe's in the hospital right now. She had an asthma attack, and the inhaler didn't work, so they're trying to figure out what's going on.
Ok, I'll be right over.
Thanks, Nick.
The doctor walked out of Chloe's room. "You can see her now. We're running some tests, so we'll have the results pretty soon."
Beca limped in and sat down on the chair next to Chloe's bed. She had completely forgotten her crutches in all the worry. "Hey, how ya feelin?"
"Ok, I guess. My breathing still isn't normal, and they gave me some medicine, but it hasn't kicked in yet."
"You haven't had an asthma attack in like 2 years."
"I know, it's crazy. Sorry this kind of ruined the baby shower and stuff."
"Aw, Chlo it wasn't your fault, I promise, and you'll probably get to go home tonight and get some sleep and you'll feel better tomorrow."
"I don't know if they'll let me leave tonight, I mean my breathing still isn't back to normal, and I'm having chest pains. They still have to get the test results. They also said I'm dehydrated, so that's fantastic. That's what the IV is for."
"Ugh, isn't it the worst. It's like you don't want to move your arm."
"It hurts so bad, it's lik-"
