"Beca, can you go find us a table? I'll order the food," Chloe said as she stepped in line.

"Yeah," Beca said as she went to a table and sat down next to her daughter.

Chloe and Emily came back a few minutes later. Chloe sat down across from Beca. "I got you a quinoa salad, is that ok?"

"Yes! Thanks so much!" Beca smiled.

"Oh yeah and I ran into Nick! He's stopping for dinner before he goes back to work. He has to work late tonight because he missed half the day to go out with me. He's so sweet!"

"Aw that's sweet. I think the food is ready."

"ok. Em, can you help me carry the plates?"

Emily stood up. "Yeah."

After they left, Nick walked by Beca. "Oh hey, Beca."

Beca gave him a friendly smile. "Hi Nick!"

"Listen, I need your help with something. What does Chloe like guys to do for her?"

"Aw that's so sweet! I don't really know, she's only had one serious boyfriend, but she likes cute little cliche things like hugging her from behind, lifting her up while hugging her, and moonlit walks on the beach. She kept saying how happy she was when you told her she was beautiful. She's real cliche with that stuff, oh and the PDA, stuff. She will hold hands with ANYONE. Like we go to the mall and she'll hold hands with me. She likes comfort and protection. It's cute. And believe me she's in love with you. She hasn't stopped smiling since she got home."

Nick smiled. "She's amazing, Beca. Thanks so much! Mind if I sit with you guys?"

"Sure! Chloe will be happy!"

Chloe came back with the food. "You gonna sit with us, baby?"

Nick kissed her forehead. "Of course!"

After they had been eating for awhile, the topic of conversation suddenly turned to Beca. Chloe kind of started it with, "how is your knee feeling?"

"Fine," Beca lied. Her knee was KILLING her. It was burning, and the pain was worse than before.

Nick took a bite of his salad. "Chloe said you were off the crutches."

Beca sighed. "Well I was, I just kind of use them when I'm walking around a lot, and then today I must have put too much pressure on it, and it was bothering me, but
I'm fine now." She lied again. She didn't want Chloe to worry, so she decided to stick it out.

"Oh ok. I hope it feels better. I gotta get going because I have to be at work in a half hour." He stood up, and Chloe stood up. "Bye, Chlo." He gave her a hug and slightly lifted her up. "Love you."

Chloe's eyes lit up. "You're sweet. Love you too."

They left a few minutes later, and when they got in the car, Beca was on the verge of tears. "Chlo, can we stop so I can get some pain killers? My knee is killing me."

Chloe looked back at Beca, who's eyes were filled with tears. "I'm taking you to the doctor."

"I'm fine I just need the pa-"

"No you're not, you're almost crying."

"Fine," Beca sighed.

Beca was sitting in Erin's office, waiting for her to come back. When she got back, she helped Beca take her brace off so she could look at her knee. "Oh, you popped a stitch or 2."

Beca smiled. "Oh thank god! I thought it was bad."

Erin smiled back at her. "I can fix it right now. I'll just numb up your leg and we'll stitch it back up."

Erin gave her a shot and stitched it back up. "You're all good! I wouldn't walk on it tonight, only because it'll be numb. Try to ice it more so the swelling goes down."

Beca smiled. "Thanks so much! I was worried there." She got her crutches and went back to the waiting room where Chloe, Harper, and Emily were sitting. "I just popped a stitch, and Erin fixed it for me!"

Chloe stood up. "Well that's a relief. Do you have to do anything?"

"She numbed it up so I can't walk on it until tomorrow and I'm supposed to ice it more so the swelling goes down."

"Oh ok, when is Jesse coming home?"

"Tonight. I have to pick him up from the airport in an hour."

"Can you drive?"

"Oh probably not considering I can't feel my leg."

"It's ok, we'll all go. Maybe we can meet Anna for cupcakes until then."

"Ok. I'll text her."

Hey you wanna meet for cupcakes in like 20 mins. We have time to kill before we pick up Jesse.

I can't make it sorry. I have the flu.

Wait like the stomach flu or the regular flu? I would feel terrible if you got it from Harper.

No just the regular flu.

Are you ok? Do you need anything?

No, I'm fine. I've been sleeping and watching tv all day, and I'm starting to feel a little better. Ben is bringing home Panera for me. I wanna hear all about Chloe's date.

Ok, I'm glad ur feeling better. I'll have her call u tonight. Hope you feel better <3

Thanks 😘

Beca put her phone away. "She's sick. It's just the regular flu though, so she didn't get it from Harper thank god."

"Aw I hope she feels better," Emily said.

Chloe frowned. "Does she need anything? Ben's probably at work. We should get her dinner."

"She said Ben was bringing her home Panera. I think she's ok."

"Ok. I guess we can go to the airport now."

********************************

"Jesse!" Beca said, going over to give him a hug."

He spinned her around in the air as he gave her a hug. "Hey, Babe! Why are you on crutches? Did you hurt it again?"

"I thought I put too much pressure but I popped a stitch, so I went in and they fixed it so I can't walk on it. How was the trip?"

"Great! Arizona is beautiful. I think we should go there for the honeymoon."

"About that. I gotta talk to you about the honey moon later. But first I gotta work on some stuff with Emily and then I gotta set up an appointment to get my dress. And then I'm doing a surprise baby shower for Chlo so I gotta figure out some stuff with that."

"Wow, I'm sorry babe. Sounds stressful. Emily's here?"

"Yeah! She moved here and she's interning for Chloe and then my boss promoted me and now I'm a producer and he wants her as my first artist so we gotta figure that out."

"Daddy!" Harper screamed as her daddy lifted her up and spun her around.

"Hi, sweetie! How was your week?"

"Good! I missed you, but mama's gonna have another baby."

Jesse smiled. "I know sweetie!" He turned toward Beca. "I thought we were gonna tell her together," he whispered.

"I'm sorry, we were and then I got so excited when I reached 3 months, it just kind of came out when we were at Starbucks, and she knows about Chloe's too. She's pretty excited. Sorry Jess. I feel bad you weren't here."

"It's ok, babe. How have you been feeling ok?"

"I'm feeling great, just a little stressed out. You gotta help us move our stuff next door tonight though."

"Aw ok, I'll do it for you. You need to de-stress a little."

"Thanks Jess."
