8 hours later, they were off their flight. Chloe linked hands t with Beca when they walked out of the airport. "Well this is nice! A little change of scenery."
Beca nodded. "I love it here. So we'll get checked into our hotel and go exploring."
Chloe smiled brightly. "Yay!"
When they got to their hotel, Chloe threw her bags down and laid down on the bed. "Wow, I could get used to this."
Beca collapsed next to her. "This is awesome and all but I want to go exploring. We're only here for 4 days. I'm gonna go get changed. What are you wearing?"
"Skinny jeans, my brown high heel boots, and that red sweater you bought me for no reason."
Beca laughed. "The reason was I thought it would look cute on you. I'll probably wear my black skinny jeans, that grey sweater you got me, and my grey uggs."
Chloe smiled. "Sounds good!"
20 minutes later they were walking around the city. Beca stopped to take a selfie with her friend who was now even taller than her with those boots on. "Chloe, hold the goddamn phone since you're so damn tall," Beca said with a sarcastic smile.
Chloe snapped a quick selfie and kept walking. "Hey, send that to me!"
"I will. How is your leg feeling?"
"Fine. I kinda wanna stop and get something to eat. There's a bar back there..."
"Ok, only cause it's only 3 in the afternoon. I don't want us going out when it's late."
"Alright!" Chloe jumped on Beca's back.
"Good god you're heavy." Beca said, shaking her head as she hoisted Chloe further up on her back and put her down a few seconds later at the entrance to the bar. She sat down on the stool next to Chloe as the bartender walked over to them.
"Hi ladies, what brings you here?" The man said.
Chloe shot Beca a nervous glance, so Beca gave her a reassuring smile before responding to the bartender. "We're here on vacation," she said.
"Can I get you something to drink?"
"I'll have an iced tea." Beca figured staying sober was her best option.
"And for the pretty redhead?" He asked, flashing Chloe a flirty smile.
"I-I'll have a r-red wine." She said shyly.
The bartender brought them their drinks a few minutes later. "Here you go." Beca thanked him but before he walked away, he turned back to Chloe. "You're cute, babe. Are you single."
Chloe didn't like him but didn't know what to say. "I-umm-j-"
Beca smiled. "She's not single, I'm her girlfriend." Beca lied right to his face.
"Oh..." He said before walking away.
Chloe burst out laughing after he left. "You are the worst liar. Oh my god."
"Well did you want him hitting on you the next hour?" Beca laughed too.
"Well thanks for that." She said. "This is the first time a guy has flirted with me in like 6 months. Probably because I'm so ugly with all these scars from the accident." Chloe sighed.
"Hey, you are not ugly. Chloe you are the most beautiful person in the world. These scars show you are stronger than what life put you through. I don't want to hear you say you're ugly. Now tell me you're pretty, you're beautiful."
Chloe smiled. "I'm pretty, I'm beautiful. Thanks Becs. I just feel like I'm so different now mentally and physically. Im definitely not as physically strong. And I'm just not as confident anymore."
"You're not, but we're working on it. And you ARE beautiful. Now give me a hug."
Chloe gave Beca a long hug. "Love you, beautiful."
"Love you too. Let's go eat somewhere else, that guy was making me uncomfortable."
Chloe got up and followed Beca out of the bar. "Thanks for standing up for me."
"No problem. Let's just grab a quick bite somewhere."
"Nah, let's go see Big Ben and ride the London Eye."
"In the air?" Beca's breath hitched.
"Yah, come on I'm afraid of everything and I'm gonna go on it."
"Fine. We'll just get a sandwich or something at the stands over there. Please hold my hand. I'm so afraid of heights."
"My badass Beca is afraid of heights?"
"Yeah, just heights, spiders, clowns, and when people are double jointed."
Chloe smirked. "Like this?" She said as she twisted her elbow backwards.
"Ew ew ew ew stop it. How do you do that?"
"Well when I was 8 I broke my elbow and then I sprained the other one in my freshman year."

"What did you do in your freshman year, Chlo? You broke your ankle then too right?"
Chloe laughed. "Well it was right before regionals and the stage had just been waxed and I slid right off of it."
"Oh my god." Beca burst out laughing.
Chloe cracked a smile. "Yeah they had to take me in an ambulance and everything. I couldn't perform at regionals either. I mean I was ok and it wasn't too bad but I couldn't perform."
"Wow. Let's just go on the Ferris wheel before we eat because if we go after I'm gonna throw up."
"Yeah." Chloe bought her and Beca tickets.
Beca was nervous as she climbed on. "This is terrifying."
Chloe giggled softly. "You're shaking, Bec, are you cold?"
"Yeah, it's just the fear, the cold sweats and everything. I'm good."
Chloe wrapped her raincoat around the smaller girl. "Oh look, we're moving."
"Shitshitshitshitshitshit I'm gonna die. This is where I die. Right here in your arms. I don't wanna die now."
"You're not gonna die, I'm right here telling you it's ok."
Beca held her breath the rest of the ride and finally took a breath when the cart opened again. "Wow, never doing this again. I need a hug, that was terrible."
Chloe lifted up the tiny girl as she hugged her. "Aww Beca bear was scared."
"Whatever" Beca grumbled as she put her down. "Let's go eat." She said. She bought her and Chloe sandwiches from a shop and they sat down. "So, are you excited?" Beca asked.
"I'm nervous, I don't know. What if she doesn't like me?"
"There hasn't been a single person who's met you and hasn't liked you. She's gonna love you."
"Alright. It's getting late and I have jet lag. Ready to go back?"
"Yeah."
Beca and Chloe trudged back to the hotel and got into their pajamas. Chloe curled up in one bed and Beca curled up in the other. "Beca I'm cold, you up for a cuddle?"
Beca crawled into Chloe's bed and began to dose off. "Beca, should I tell her she's adopted?" Chloe whispered.
"I don't think so." She said. "Not unless she asks." Beca snuggled into Chloe. "Goodnight Chlo."
