Beca woke up around the same time as Chloe. After they got ready, they took the car to Chloe's office. When they walked in, Chloe's client was waiting for them.
Chloe stopped in her tracks. "Corey?" Beca asked, her hand on Chloe's shoulder. Chloe's eyes welled up with tears. "You have another girlfriend?" She whispered.
"Umm...so...this is awkward..yeah. I didn't realize you were Into me. I couldn't turn you down, Chloe."
Beca stepped towards Corey. "Chloe lost her voice, so she can't tell you what's on her mind, but I have a pretty good idea of what her opinion is. She was so into you. You flirted with her, and she was madly in love with you. I can't believe you had a girlfriend this whole time. You don't deserve a girlfriend. I can't believe you did this to her after all she's been through."
Beca grabbed Chloe's arm and stormed out of the room. They drove home, and Chloe curled up on the couch and cried.
After 2 hours, Beca decided to go to the store. She got Chloe pudding, chocolate, candy, Kleenex, a cute stuffed animal, and a slushee. When Beca came home, chloe was changed into sweatpants, and she was still crying. "I brought you something," Beca said, handing the slushee and the bag of goodies to chloe.
"Thanks, Becs," she whispered.
Beca sat down and wrapped a blanket around her friend. "I'm so sorry, Chlo. You deserve way better than him. No one should treat you like that. He's an ass."
"Thanks. I can't believe he lied to me," chloe said, her voice a little stronger since she had something cold.
Beca put aside the fact that Chloe would have to finish the design, so she wouldn't get in trouble with her boss. She wrapped her arm around Chloe's shoulders. "Just remember, this means you're one heartbreak closer to a happily ever after."
"Aww that's cute Becs."
"Thanks, I read it on a greeting card."
Chloe laughed. She loved that sense of humor. "You're hilarious," she giggled. After awhile, Chloe fell asleep, and Beca got up to make dinner. She decided to make lasagna, Chloe's favorite. While the water was boiling, she texted Jesse.
Hey
Hey, queen, what's up?
Not much. Chloe's boyfriend cheated on her so she's been crying all day.
Aww. Tell her I'm sorry. How did she find out?
He was her client and he said he and his girlfriend were moving in together.
What a jerk. I feel so bad for her.
She doesn't realize that she'll still have to design for him, or her boss will get mad.
What is she going to do?
I don't know. I think I'll talk to her boss. She seems pretty nice, so we'll see. I have to finish making dinner. I'll text u later. Love you.
Love you too.
Beca put the noodles in the pot and texted Anna.
Hey, can you come over for dinner? Corey cheated on Chlo and she's taking it really hard.
Of course. Poor thing. I'll be over in a half hour.
Thanks, Ann. See you.
Bye.
Beca finished the lasagna and started making garlic bread and salad.
"Hey, Chlo, wake up. It's almost time for dinner and Anna's coming over."
"Ok," Chloe said, getting up. "Thanks so much for helping me through this." Chloe was still pretty upset. She threw her hair in a messy bun and took off her makeup.
Beca smiled and hugged her friend. "Hey, at least your voice is better. How ya feeling about the break up?"
"I'm barely holding my shit together," Chloe cried. "I don't get why I'm so emotional." She rolled her eyes.
"He was your first true love. You have every right to be crying right now."
Anna walked through the door. "Hey, Chlo," she said, hugging her friend. "How ya doing?" She asked sympathetically.
"The worst," Chloe said. She was crying again.
"I'm so sorry, Chlo. How's your a ankle Bec?"
"It's fine, I'm just exhausted from walking around on it all day. I mean it kinda hurts, but it's not like I can ice it or anything."
"I know. It sucks." Anna laughed. "The lasagna smells good."
"Oh thanks." Beca headed toward the kitchen. "Let's eat."
Beca and Anna talked about work and concerts, but Chloe didn't say a word the whole time. She didn't even eat her food. "Come on, Chlo. You gotta eat something." Beca rubbed the redhead's shoulder.
"Yeah, Chlo. It'll make you feel better." Anna stood up. "Why don't we watch a movie?"
"I'd rather just sit here and cry."
"Come on, Chlo," Beca said, grabbing the girl's hand. "I'll make some popcorn, and we'll watch whatever you want."
Chloe dragged herself to the couch. "I'll just sit here and be sad while you and Anna watch whatever you want."
Anna got a bowl out for the popcorn. "Whatever you say, Chlo. But you'll get over it. I know you will."
Beca brought the popcorn into the living room and started the movie. Anna sat down and took her brace off. "Are you supposed to do that?" Beca asked.
"No, but like you said, I'm a rebellious little shit." Anna giggled as she tried to stretch her leg. "God, that hurts, she said. Now I realize why they said not to stretch too much."
Beca smiled. "You idiot. I could have told you that. You ok?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. It'll be fine in a few hours. I'm not putting the brace back on until later, though."
"Fine." Beca rolled her eyes. "Hey, Chlo, you want some popcorn?"
"No," Chloe said in the voice a grumpy toddler would use.
"Here's the deal, Chlo," Anna said, pulling Chloe up from the couch. "You're gonna get up and eat something so you feel better."
Chloe dragged herself to the kitchen and took a bite of her lasagna. "Happy?" She asked. "Wow, Becs, this is really good."
"Thanks, Chlo. Bring your lasagna and your sad little self in here and watch this with us."
Chloe brought her plate into the living room and curled up in the corner of the couch. After the movie ended, Anna got up and went home. She and Beca were still awake, but Chloe had fallen asleep. Beca decided to leave Chloe on the couch since she was already in pajamas. Beca went to bed. She had to get a lot of sleep since she was getting the cast on her wrist off the next day.
