Chloe got everyone up at 6 am. "Come on guys! We have a lot to do today!"
Beca ignored her. Harper complained. "Aunt Chloe, it's too early."
Chloe laughed. "You are your mother's daughter."
Beca dragged herself out of bed and to the coffee machine. After 3 quick cups, she got dressed and threw her hair into a braided bun. "Hey, Chlo, I'm out of foundation."
Chloe walked into the bathroom. "Beca, you have the most flawless skin I've ever seen. You look absolutely fine."
"I need foundation Chlo. Jesse thinks I look amazing all the time."
"Ok. 2 things...1. You're not together so you shouldn't care?
2. You slept together, so he saw you without makeup and a bra."
"I still care, Chlo, and yeah I wore makeup and a bra to bed."
"Who does that for a guy?"
"A girl who is madly in love, only to have it fall apart 6 months later."
"Oh Becs, I'm so sorry. You're not over it yet are you?"
"I'm not, Chlo, and it's been almost 4 years. I'm 29 now. I should be over this by now. I don't get it."
"Becs, it's ok. I wouldn't be over it either. He left you for no reason at all, with a child. That's beyond unforgivable."
"I want to forgive him so bad though. I haven't seen him in 3 years, and I miss him more and more everyday. Harper wants a father that's there for her."
"Then you have to talk to him, but right now, we have to go because it's almost 9."
"Ok. Harper lets go!"
Harper ran out of the living room and put her shoes on. Their first stop was at Charming Charlie, Anna's favorite store to get her a gift. They left with 4 scarves, 8 rings, and 3 bracelets. The next stop was to Macy's to get Jesse some socks. Sure, it was cliche, but it was all they could come up with. Finally, they went to Mariano's to get a ham to make for dinner. That was also a tradition. They also got ingredients to make Christmas cookies.
They had about 5 minutes to get everything set up before Anna came over. "Hey, guys! Ben's going to be about a half hour late. He got stuck in traffic."
"No problem," Beca said. "Have a seat. Hey Chlo, can you go wrap the presents? I'll cover dinner."
Chloe shouted back from the kitchen. "I'm on it."
Beca sat down on the couch. "How are you feeling today?"
"Better, I just have a stomach ache."
"That's goo-" Beca was cut off by the doorbell. "Crap that's Jesse."
"It's ok. Just stay calm and remember you still love him."
Beca took a deep breath and answered the door. "Jesse!" She gave him a hug.
"Hey, Becs. How have you been?"
"Great actually! Hey Harper come here. There's someone I want you to see."
Harper came out of her room. "Hi." She said quietly.
"This is your daddy, sweetie!" Beca smiled so wide at the little girl.
"Really?" She said excitedly, clinging onto Jesse's leg.
Jesse smiled. "Yep! It's been so long since I've seen you, sweetie! You're so pretty and grown up now!"
Beca giggled. "Jess, stop she's three! I don't want her to grow up!"
"She looks just like you, Becs."
"I know she does. She has your personality though. She's a clinger."
"I love it."
Harper sat down between her mom and dad. "Are you going to get married?"
Beca got teary eyed. "I don't know sweetie. Why don't you go see what Aunt Anna is doing in the kitchen. After she left, Beca started talking. "Listen Jesse, I haven't stopped loving you since the day you left. Anna made me invite you, and if this works out, I think this would be the best decision I ever made. Harper talks about you every day. She wants you with us so bad, Jess. I've loved you so much and for so long."
Jesse gave her a hug. "I haven't stopped loving you since I left either. Beca, that was the dumbest thing I've ever done. I love you both, and I hate being apart. This has been the longest 3 years of my life. I want to move back here and be with you."
"You wanna give this a try?"
"Of course."
They shared a kiss as Ben and Aubrey walked into the house, Harper and Anna walked into the living room, and Chloe came out of the bedroom. They smiled. "Hey, Becs, it this a thing now?" Chloe smiled that dorky smile.
"YES!" She screamed. Harper ran up and gave them a hug.
Anna glanced at Ben. "I'm pregnant guys!" She smiled.
Beca stood up. "What?"
Anna laughed. "I found out 2 days ago! I wanted it to be a surprise."
Ben laughed. "That's my devious wife."
Beca sat down with her and whispered quietly. "Are you even strong enough to have a baby? You're still recovering."
Anna frowned. "The doctor doesn't know if it's the safest thing. I might have a miscarriage, and I'll have to have a c-section either way, but I'm so excited. I have a good feeling about this."
"We'll be there for you every step of the way, Anna. I'll be over every day if I have to."
"Thanks, Becs, that means a lot."
Harper giggled. "Can we open presents now???"
Beca lifted up the cute little girl. "If course we can, darling."
The little girl opened her presents. Anna and Ben had gotten her princess dresses from the Disney store. "Thank you Aunt Anna and Uncle Ben!"
Anna smiled. "You're welcome my angel."
The next gift was from Aubrey. She had gotten her a couple outfits and a pair of shoes. "Thank you! Now I can do more fashion shows!"
"We'll have to do a fashion show later then won't we?" Aubrey patted the little girl on the head.
Harper tore open another gift from her dad. He had gotten her clothes, books, and toys. Harper smiled at her daddy before giving him a hug. "Wow! Thanks daddy!"
"Aw you're welcome, honeybunches."
The next gift was from Chloe and Beca. It was in a really big box, so Harper was excited. She tore open the wrapping paper, and she saw a tricycle. "Wow Mama! Thank you!"
Beca gave her daughter a hug and looked at Chloe. "That was from Aunt Chloe, too, so go give her a hug."
Harper jumped on Chloe's lap. "Thank you aunt Chloe!"
Chloe hugged the little girl. "You're welcome, sweetie!"
Beca glanced at the clock. "Oh my gosh, sweetie. It's 9:30! We gotta get ready for bed so Santa can come. Why don't you go get your pajamas on."
Harper walked to her room and put her pajamas on. When she came back out, Anna, Ben, and Aubrey were getting ready to go. "Where are you guys going?" She said in a tired voice.
Anna picked up the little girl as best she could. "We're going home, sweetie, but everyone is coming over to our house tomorrow!"
"Ok! Goodnight aunt Anna!"
Anna and Ben left, and Aubrey said goodbye to the girl. "I'll see you tomorrow at Anna and Ben's!"
"Ok aunt Aubrey!"
Chloe tucked Harper into bed, and Jesse made Beca watch Happy Christmas because that's his favorite movie. They fell asleep, and it made Beca so happy. It reminded her of old times, and she couldn't have asked for a better Christmas Eve.
