Joe was laid in bed later on that night opening the duvet up for Demi to climb in which she did settling down next to him. AJ and Bailey would be locked in a cage until they could be trusted to roam around the apartment of a night, Joe was off work for a while and Demi wasn't working so it would be easy to train them while they could.
"Not long now." Joe stated laying his hand down on her bump.
"At least we get one more Christmas where we don't have to save up money for little ones." Demi laughed slightly Joe too kissing her forehead.
"It will be fine when their happy, they may even come before Christmas." Joe stated but Demi shook her head gently.
"That's like a month before my due date, I could cope with a couple of weeks before but a month is too early when they've been through what they have." Demi stated.
"It will be okay," Joe assured her kissing her gently Demi kissing him back the two of them smiling through the kiss. "I love you." He mumbled against her lips but Demi pulled away from him pecking his lips one last time.
"I love you too Joseph." She answered before laying her head down on his shoulder, Joe moved some hair out of her eyes before kissing her forehead. He then settled down as well the two of them soon falling asleep in each other's comfort.
Joe woke up first the next morning, he was surprised how well AJ and Bailey had been but he knew it helped that they had each other otherwise they would get lonely. He climbed out of bed pulling the duvet over Demi a little bit more than making his way out the room and into the main area of the apartment laughing when the two dogs got excited.
"I'm here don't worry," He cooed unlatching the cage soon being attacked by dogs but Joe shushed them not wanting them to wake Demi up. "Come on let's go for a walk, you clearly have loads of energy." Joe got them both ready and they were soon out of the door. Demi wondered through not longer finding a note on the telly. She smiled but she knew she'd have to get used to getting up with Joe not being around.
Joe sat down at the table when he got back leaning over pecking Demi's lips thanking her for the breakfast, there wasn't much but Demi couldn't be on her feet for long and Joe didn't have a huge appetite at the moment. AJ and Bailey were eating in the corner after their walk and would most likely have a nap afterwards.
"You didn't have to make breakfast, I would have done it when I get back." Joe stated starting to eat his omelette which Demi had made.
"Your boys didn't like the idea of that." Joe laughed slightly.
"What do you fancy doing today?" Joe stated Demi shrugging her shoulders gently.
"Anything, I might come out for a walk with you and the puppies later. Get moving a little bit." Demi answered taking a bite out of her own breakfast. They continued to eat as they spoke to one another, they were getting impatient just wanting to meet their boys already but they both agreed it wasn't worth it for them to come early. They wanted them healthy but twins were often early as it was and were preparing for the hospital sooner rather than later.
"Thanks for breakfast." Joe stated leaning over pecking her lips gently before he wondered over to the couch sitting down. He smiled as Bailey jumped up on the couch laying her head down in his lap, he ran his fingers through her fur as her eyes shut.
"That is adorable." Demi cooed Joe smiling leaning down kissing Bailey's head. AJ sat in his bed sleeping, they could see a difference in their personalities already. Bailey was more of a people person wanting to sit with them where as AJ was more independent.
