Joe wondered into school the next morning smiling when he saw Demi stood against the lockers at the main entrance clearly waiting for him. Having his step father beat him up last night was all worth it if he could spend time with Demi, she liked him back and he was relieved. Joe made his way over Demi smiling when she saw him leaning down kissing her gently. Demi kissed him back straight away the two of them smiling through the kiss. Joe pulled away from her but only by a couple of inches Demi able to feel his breath on her lips.
"I love kissing those lips," A smile pulled at either side of Demi's lips but it was soon wiped away when he kissed her again Demi kissing back before Joe pulled away fully again tangling their fingers together. "Can I take you out tonight?"
"I'd have to check with the boss but I don't see why not," Demi answered smiling squeezing his hand gently, she liked to see his smile that she wasn't able to see when she saw him for the first time. If she was the reason for him smiling she'd stay around. "How are you feeling today?" They begun to walk down the hall together their hands together, they could see people staring at them but they didn't care. They liked each other and that's all that mattered.
"I ache a little bit but I've learnt to cope with that, I'm sorry you had to go through that yesterday. I didn't get chance to ask you whether he did anything?"
"He was close," Demi breathed. "But you came just in time."
"I'm not letting you come over again." Joe insisted.
"How are we gonna stop him from doing anything to you though?" Demi questioned Joe sighed shrugging his shoulders.
"I'll just try and not be at home until my mom comes home, there's no way he'd try anything when my mom is at home, he comes home at different times though so it will be hard." Joe exclaimed smiling when Demi squeezed his hand.
"Even if it cuts down a bit it will be better." Demi stated.
Joe and Demi greeted Willa and Nick as they wondered over Joe having walked Demi to her first lesson. They were surprised to see them holding hands but were even more surprised when Joe kissed her but the kiss didn't last much longer Joe pulling away the two of them saying goodbye before Joe wondered away to his lesson. Demi turned to them knowing that she would be getting tones of questioned but she didn't care, she was really starting to like Joe now she knew who he really was.
"Yes we're together as of yesterday and yes I know I said we weren't dating but oh well." Demi stated before entering the classroom knowing they were following.
"We're happy for you both Demi but do you know something about Joe that we don't? Why has he just suddenly decided to change?" Nick questioned as they all took a seat in their usual seats. As much as Demi wanted to tell them she couldn't.
"There's nothing going on, he just wants to change." Demi answered bringing out her books setting them down on the desk in front of her.
"We don't believe there's nothing going on, you can tell us, we won't tell anyone." Willa answered as they all started to note down what was on the board.
"There's nothing I can tell you, Joe will tell you in his own time, it's not for me to tell." Demi replied looking up at the board then back at her notepad.
"So there is something?" Nick questioned Demi sighing nodding her head.
"If it's something serious Demi you need to tell a adult even if he's asked you not to. We're not asking you to tell us but please if it's serious tell a adult, or try and convince him to tell someone." Willa encouraged, Demi just sighed.
"Easier said than done." She mumbled but she couldn't help but worry about Joe, she had seen what Gary could do. It wasn't good.
