Joe was stood in the kitchen the next morning at the cooker cooking some pancakes in a pan. Jayden and Niall had helped him make the batter and were now eating some of themselves. Joe planned to give Demi breakfast in bed planning to make her eat her three meals a day but he knew now she knew they were having a baby she'd be more careful and make time to have something to eat. She had already told him she would carry a bottle of water around. She wouldn't be working today wanting to recover from what happened yesterday, they had an emergency day care centre around the corner which would take any children on short notice. Most parents liked Demi's service because of how involved she was with the children.
"I'm sure mommy will love your pancakes." Joe praised.
"AJ does!" Jayden exclaimed feeding some to the dog, Joe laughed shaking his head. He felt better today, it seemed to be a one day bug. He needed to get his work done as soon as he could, he didn't want to rely on Demi bringing in the income for their family. He wanted to be working so Demi's money would more than likely become their treat money, they can go on vacation and do things as a family. Joe slipped one last pancake on a plate before lifting it on the tray.
"Come on then boys if you want to give mommy her pancakes." Joe encouraged.
"Me carry?" Niall inquired Joe shaking his head.
"It's a little heavy, I'll carry it." Joe stated following them upstairs being careful where he stepped, AJ was at his feet and he didn't want to trip over him. Jayden and Niall pushed the door open running and jumping on the bed forcing Demi awake. Demi laughed as she was mauled by her two identical boys giving them both kisses.
"What a lovely way to wake up." Demi praised.
"Momma us made breakfast." Jayden stated Demi smiling as Joe set it down on her lap.
"This looks yummy, don't I have the best boys in the world," Demi cooed kissing their heads this time sharing a kiss with Joe. "How are you feeling today?"
"Better," Joe answered kissing her forehead as she begun eating. "Why don't we check on Bailey and the puppies boys?" Demi smiled as she watched the four of them leave.
"Bailey might come say hello today AJ," Demi stated stroking his head gently as he laid down next to her. She smiled as he nuzzled into her stomach but not hard, it was as if he knew about the baby. "You'll have a new playmate soon."
The puppies were now nearly a week old and were getting bigger, they were progressing well and Bailey had proved she was a good mother. They had spoken to the neighbour about what had happened and he had agreed to take two of the puppies when they were old enough to leave their mother. They were even thinking about keeping the other two.
"Daddy why don't they have names yet?" Niall inquired as he stroked one of the female puppies as she fed from Bailey but they were being gently. It was important to socialise them with humans as well but they'd get to do that more when they are older.
"Because we've been a bit busy. How about we do it later on?" Joe suggested as he sat down with Bailey stroking her head as it laid in his lap. He could tell she was missing their company a little bit at this point.
"Yeah!" Jayden exclaimed.
"Mommy will come join us and help," Joe leaned down kissing Bailey's head.
"Momma has good names." Niall mumbled. Once the pups were finished feeding and sleeping again Joe led Bailey out of the room.
"AJ!" Joe called smiling as he ran over greeting his sister the two of them very happy to see one another. "I'm going to take them outside for a bit, give Bailey a break from the babies." Joe spoke as he poked his head into his bedroom seeing Demi was still eating.
"Okay, I'll make sure the puppies are okay." Demi stated watching as he walked past the doorway Jayden and Niall not too far behind.
