One Hundred and Ten

Once Eloise was finished feeding Demi burped her before Joe lifted his daughter up in his arms, she whimpered slightly not knowing who she was with but Joe shushed her rocking her gently and then she recognised his voice as he spoke to her telling her that she was beautiful. Demi smiled at the sight, she missed seeing him with babies, he was as good with babies as he was with toddlers. Eloise soon fell asleep in her father's arms with a full tummy. Joe laid her down in the clear plastic crib next to Demi's bed pulling the blanket over her tiny body. He leaned down kissing her head gently before sharing a kiss with Demi.

"Get some sleep." He demanded Demi laying her head down on the pillow knowing that Joe was already laid down on the couch to get some sleep himself. Until Eloise needed them. Demi watched over her daughter as she slept until she fell to sleep herself.

The three of them slept for a good three hours or so until Eloise woke up crying waking her parents up. Joe sat up on the couch before standing up taking her up in his arms.

"I'll do it, you rest," He demanded laying Eloise on the bed helping Demi sit up before grabbing a clean diaper to change his daughter into. Demi shifted a large yawn as she stretched her arms out. "Do you feel better now?"

"Yeah it's amazing what a couple of hours of sleep can do," Demi answered. "I think they'll probably let us go home now she's had her first feed and nothing is wrong."

"Jay and Niall will be excited to meet their little sister." Joe stated fastening the diaper around Eloise's waist clipping her vest back up at the bottom before bringing her back into his arms. She settled down as she laid in her father's arms who kissed her head before laying her down in Demi's arms.

"We're going to have to warn boys off when she's older, she's a stunner." Demi grinned making Joe laugh as he sat on the edge of the bed his arm around Demi.

"Can we not think about boyfriends yet, I'm already thinking about putting her on the pill." Joe joked Demi laughing leaning her head on his shoulder as they both admired their daughter who was awake staring back up at her parents. They only looked up when they heard the door open seeing the midwife stood her with a clipboard in her hands.

"You may go home with her now, we're positive you both are just fine." She stated Demi nodded her head gently a warm smile on her face.

"I'll go grab the car seat." Joe pecked Demi's lips then Eloise's before he wondered outside to where his car was parked Everyone had gone home by now but they knew that the birth had gone well and Eloise was here and a little girl. Demi laid Eloise back down in the crib shushing her as she whimpered slightly, they could already see her being a clingy baby. She let her daughter wrap her hand around her finger as the midwife came over laying the clip board on her lap handing her a pen so she could sign out.

"Will you be glad to go home?" She inquired Demi nodding her head.

"Yeah it will be nice to settle down but I don't see that happening with two nearly three year old boys running riot." Demi joked giggling as the midwife laughed.

"Are they excited to be getting a little sister?"

"Very but I don't think they realise how different the house will have to be with her here." Demi stated handing her the board back then bringing her daughter back up in her arms waiting for Joe to get back with the car seat before even trying to stand up. She still ached a lot.

"They'll get used to it, daddy is there to help out," She praised. "You can leave when you're ready, best wishes." Demi thanked her as she left the room just in time for Joe to come back with the car seat in his hands.

"Let's get her home." Joe breathed setting the car seat down on the bed Demi allowing him to take their daughter from her.
