Joe was stood in the living room when he heard the door open, he just became more nervous. He rushed into the kitchen before Demi would see him.
"Joe! I couldn't find a tree that wasn't pink but..." Demi begun but she entered the living room where she saw a huge tree up in the corner of the room decorated, there were other decorations up too but her eyes were on the tree as she made her way over it her eyes landing on something that wasn't normally decorated on a tree. She saw a ring on the end of one of the branches, she reached out to grab it when she saw a hand come in first taking it instead. She turned to him seeing Joe stood there with a small smile on his face. "J-Joe you're not."
"I am, Demi I know we haven't been together for the longest time but I knew within months of us being together that I'd end up doing this and asking you to marry me. I want a life with you, continue raising our wonderful boys and make them big brothers," Joe spoke getting down on one knee in front of her holding the ring out in front of him "Demetria Devonne Lovato will you do the honour of making me your husband?"
"Joe I thought you were allergic to real trees?" Demi questioned letting the tears slip from her eyes, Joe couldn't help but laugh as he gazed up at her.
"I lied." He shrugged his shoulders.
"How long have you been planning this?" Demi questioned again.
"That doesn't matter, what matters is your answer cause my knee is cramping up." Demi giggled wiping away her tears helping him stand up.
"Yes," She breathed. "I'll marry you Joseph." Joe felt his own tears escape his eyes out of happiness that she actually said yes. He slipped the ring on her finger his hands coming up to her cheeks.
"I love you so much." He expressed Demi smiling.
"I love you too Joe." She replied feeling his lips pressed against hers kissing him back straight away. Their lips begun to move along with each other's, Joe deepened the kiss as his hands came from her cheeks laying them down on her hips bringing her closer to him which made her moan through the kiss as his tongue found its way into her mouth. He lifted her up by the back of her legs making her legs wrap around his waist the two of them only pulling away from one another when air was desperately needed.
"The boys are asleep." Joe stated as he caught his breath back.
"Make love to me, make love to your fiancé." Joe grinned at the word 'fiancé' He begun to make his way upstairs kicking the bedroom door open. He laid her down on the bed.
"You're so beautiful." He murmured before leaning down connecting their lips again.
Joe collapsed back on the bed next to Demi bringing her up into his arms. Demi smiled as her head laid down on his chest listening to his heartbeat slowly steadying the more he breathed in and out. She couldn't help but stare at the ring on her left ring finger. It was beautiful, he really did know what he style was like. Joe kissed her hair gently as he noticed her staring at the ring.
"Do you like it?" He questioned.
"I love it Joe, thanks." He smiled holding her tighter the duvet covering their naked bodies, it was December so it was pretty cold. They were looking forward to Jayden and Niall's first Christmas, their first time seeing snow and old enough to acknowledge what it was.
"So when's the wedding?" Joe joked making her laugh.
"As soon as possible, I can't wait to become Mrs. Jonas." Demi grinned Joe smiling but their smiles soon washed away when they heard crying.
"Those boys don't have the best of timing do they?" Joe stated Demi shaking her head as she slapped his bare chest gently. They both got dressed once again before they wondered out of the room hand in hand.
