As soon as Joe woke up he had something to eat before he got a visit from his father and sisters who were just as happy to see him as he was to see them. It was relief for him to know that everything was going to be okay and that he would welcome his sons into a world where he knew they would be safe now Gary had been locked away. He didn't even care at this point he knew he was having two little boys when he should be happy that the four of them were okay. They all then left to go home Denise going back to where he charity home was located to collect her belongings. Now Gary was locked away she could get back to the life she once had, she could spend time with her children and Grandchildren once again and most importantly she could be there to welcome two more Grandsons at the beginning of next year. Demi stayed with Joe now laid down next to him on the opposite side to where he was stabbed. Just a couple of centimetres to the right then the doctors were sure Joe wouldn't have made it, it was clear Gary's intension was to kill him and not just wound him. Joe had his arm wrapped around her Demi laid on it as she traced shapes on his chest, they were both silent but it was a comfortable silence.

"I'm glad your okay." Demi whispered breaking the silence.

"I'm glad too, I still feel a little rough but loads better now I've had a rest," Joe answered smiling when she pecked his lips gently. "I-I was so scared when I heard Gary on the phone." Demi soon shushed him as he closed his eyes fighting back the tears.

"Don't think about him anymore alright? He's gone out of your life and won't be around for us to worry about when the boys arrive." Demi assured him seeing him nod his head but she could tell he still wasn't sure.

"He didn't do anything to you did he?"

"He felt the boys kick but that's it, I just told him it was girls hoping he wouldn't ruin it for you but you wanted to know so I told you." Demi answered Joe sighing laying his hand down on her bump keeping his eyes down.

"I don't want them to be harmed because of them, I never felt so protective before." Joe mumbled Demi leaning down kissing his forehead gently. She was sat slightly up it being more comfortable for herself, her bump was getting big.

"And that is why you'll be an amazing dad to our little boys." Demi assured him Joe cracking a small smile leaning his head on her shoulder.

"Your amazing." Joe kissed her shoulder blade gently making Demi smile this time.

"Not as amazing as you." Joe stayed quiet this time knowing that he wasn't up to having the argument with her at the moment.

"I know our boys will be amazing, I can't wait." Joe grinned slightly lifting his head up sharing a kiss with her Demi smiling as he pulled away.

"Neither can I, my only regret is them not having any of my family around. I have nobody." Demi admitted looking down again at her finger which was tracing shapes on his chest again.

"I know they're not actually your family but my family will always think of you as part of the family, we're having babies together. Have you thought about who you want in the room while you give birth?" Demi looked up at him again.

"You obviously but I was thinking about asking your mom, I want someone to be around that's been through labour before and your mom is the closest woman I have to a mother." Demi admitted.

"I'm sure if you asked her she'd be honoured." Joe answered pecking her lips before laying his head back down on her shoulder.

"Get some sleep, you need it at the moment." Demi demanded stroking his hair gently knowing it would settle him. Joe soon fell asleep Demi not far behind him it being a long day for her too.

Demi woke up around three in the morning feeling the bed beneath her shake and screaming. She opened her eyes to see Joe having a nightmare. She had to blink back tears as she heard him shout Gary's name.
