The phone fell from Joe's hand as he held back a sob, he didn't want to give him any satisfaction by what he was doing, he would think it was getting to him and that's what he wanted but if he stayed calm he had more chance of keeping his girlfriend save but also his daughters. He didn't care at the moment whether he had spoilt the surprise. He just wanted them to be safe.
"Please don't touch them, they're all I have." Joe begged slightly.
"Let's make a deal alright, you come meet me and we'll negotiate what is going to happen." Gary suggested Joe sighing as he let a tear slip from his eyes.
"Fine where?"
"The house, be there in ten and Alone." He stated before hanging up the phone. Joe screamed from frustration launching the phone across the room the phone breaking as it fell to the floor but he didn't waste time on getting angry when his girls were in danger. He was soon out of the door. He ignored everyone on his way asking if everything was okay. Things weren't okay, Demi was in danger and more importantly his daughters. They both wanted to protect their daughters, they hadn't even met them yet and they were already under threat.
Gary smirked at Demi as he heard to door open but Demi closed her eyes trying to stop the tears falling down her face but they wouldn't. She didn't want Joe to come to any harm but she knew he'd come. He had been protective over the three of them since they found out they would be having a baby together then even more when they found out it was twins.
"Nice of you to join us." Gary taunted as Joe entered the room. Demi could see the anger on his face, it was an expression she rarely saw anymore. He went to go over to Demi but Gary soon pushed him away standing in front of her.
"Give me my girlfriend!" Joe demanded.
"No! I think it's very rude that you come into this house and start shouting at your step father." He smirked, Joe only became angrier.
"Joe just do what he wants, he'll go to prison after this and we won't have to worry about him. I-I love you." Joe cracked a small smile through his anger as he looked down at Demi but the anger was soon back when he saw her expression, she was terrified.
"I love you too baby girl." He replied groaning when he felt Gary punch him in the stomach. He gasped for air afterwards as he fell to the floor holding his stomach. Demi closed her eyes not able to watch what Joe went through in his teenage life.
"You're so pathetic, both of you." He sneered watching as the boy groaned on the floor but Joe was used to this kind of abuse.
"Fight back Joe, for once in your life fight him back." Demi encouraged her voice soothing him slightly. Gary just laughed at the suggestion.
"You think your little boyfriend can fight me? I'd like to see him try," Gary was about to kick Joe but he grabbed his leg forcing him down to the floor standing up himself. It felt strange for him to be stood over Gary for once as he laid down on the floor. "You little bitch." Gary stood up once again towering over Joe, Joe knew he had only made him angrier.
"For years you've put me through hell, I'm not letting you win this time. I am going home and I'm going home with my beautiful girlfriend and daughters. Come on Demi," Joe encouraged going over untying her hands from around her back helping her stand up. "Go outside."
"Not without you." Demi demanded Joe leaning down kissing her gently Demi kissing him back before they both pulled away.
"Go!" He demanded Demi looking between them before she begun to make her out of the room. She only stopped to turn around when she heard Joe scream. She watched in fear as Gary pulled a knife out of Joe's abdomen legging it out the house as Joe's body fell to the floor.
