It was around seven that evening that they allowed Demi, Jayden and Niall to leave the hospital after they were happy that everything was okay with the three of them. Everyone was yet to meet the two little boys beside Paul and Alice but they would get to do that when they're at home, they would be heading straight home to meet them before Joe's family would go home themselves leaving them in peace after a long day. They still had to drive back from spending new year's at Paul's house. They had made the choice to go back home and settled but Paul didn't mind, he had been through it four times and knew he would want to be home if he was in the situation.
"Did you bring the car seats?" Joe questioned as he burped Jayden, they hoped with being fed they'd sleep the whole way home.
"Yes I brought them when I came down," Denise answered. "Um there was a letter at home for you, about Gary's court hearing, they want you to come down and speak about everything that had happened. I didn't tell you before because of the boys coming."
"It's okay mom and I'm more than happy to tell them if it means he gets locked away for longer." Joe answered laying Jayden properly in his arms when he let out a little burp letting Denise take him from him smiling as Demi entered the room again after signing her release forms.
"We can go now." She stated taking Niall from the crib.
"Let's get home." Denise stated.
It was just after eight that they made it home, they were all ready for bed but Jayden and Niall still had to meet their aunts and also Willa and Nick would be there too to meet their god sons. Their wish came true when they said they wished they would arrive a month early so they would be able to meet them during Christmas break and not just see photos. Denise entered the house first warning them all to be quiet because Jayden and Niall were still sleeping from the car journey and a feed before at the hospital. They wouldn't be able to hold them now but there was plenty of time for that. Joe and Demi entered not too far afterwards everyone remaining quiet as they did but they all had smiles on their faces as the boys were laid down in the crib so everyone was able to see them. They gained plenty of compliments about how beautiful they were.
"It's so good to be home." Demi admitted laying down in the bed ignoring the burning sensation she had in between her legs. She was starting to get used to it a little bit more. Joe made sure Jayden and Niall were next to Demi in their side crib designed for twins. He laid down next to her smiling as she snuggled into his chest.
"Yeah it is," Joe agreed kissing the top of her head. "How much do you think they'll allow us to sleep?" Demi cracked a small smile her eyes closed enjoying the feeling of his arms around her able to hear the beating of his heart, it was very soothing. It had been a while since they could get as close as they were cause Demi's bump often got in the way.
"Hopefully a lot but I don't know, luckily they're schedule is pretty much the same so when one wakes up crying he wakes up his brother." Demi answered.
"Could be worse, we could have three babies," Joe joked laughing when she smacked his chest. "I just hope it doesn't take too long for AJ and Bailey to be calm around them, I miss them already."
"They'll be back with us before you know it," Demi assure him lifting her head up her eyes closed. Joe laughed before leaning down kissing her Demi kissed back before they both pulled away from one another. "I love you.
"I love you too Demi, go to sleep." Joe begun to run his fingers through her hair as she slowly fell asleep against him. He watched over his family for a little bit before tiredness defeated him as well falling asleep too. They were both happy to be home after so long. they were looking forward to the future with their two sons.
