Joe led Demi upstairs into a room. He was relieved when his mom had told him she would be moving house. She didn't want to stay in the house she knew Gary had ruined their lives. This new house was just as nice if not better. He sat down on the edge of the bed helping Demi get as comfortable as she could. The pregnancy was really starting to get to her. They were going to exchange their presents now wanting to do it alone.
"I'll go first," Joe stated handing her a box which was neatly wrapped. Demi had a smile on her face as she begun to open the box which was neatly wrapped. It was a decent sized box which made Demi think that he got her a lot when she thought she hadn't got him much. She lifted the lid off the present seeing a couple of different items. "You didn't give me many hints on what to get you do I thought you'd like some clothes for the boys."
"It was a good idea," Demi admitted leaning up pecking his lips. "They're so adorable."
"I did get something for you though, look under the clothes." Demi lifted all the clothes out of the box seeing a little box at the bottom, she knew he'd got her some jewellery again but she didn't mind. She liked to wear a little bit and was looking forward to again when the boys had arrived. She looked at the ring in the box a wide smile on her face.
"It's beautiful Joe thank you." Demi leaned over sharing a kiss with him before setting the box down on the bed behind her grabbing her box for Joe watching as he opened it. He could see a pair of shoes Demi telling him to throw his old pair out because they were getting scruffy. Demi had got him a bracelet putting it on straight away but what he saw at the bottom became a bit of a shock to him. Demi bit her lip as he brought it up in his hands. It was a set of lingerie.
"I hope you're not asking me to put this on," Joe joked looking down at her. "Why?"
"Because you won't stop expressing how you can't wait for the boys to be born and for fifty days to pass!" Demi exclaimed giggling afterwards.
"Oh Demi." Joe groaned making her laugh again leaning up kissing him gently then pulling away from him taking hold of his hand.
"Thank you for all the gifts Joe." Demi spoke leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Thank you too." He kissed the top of her head.
It was after Christmas lunch now and Joe and Demi were the only ones still at the house Joe's sisters having left to see their in laws. Joe wanted to spend some time with his mother still not liking the idea of her being alone at Christmas. He would be spending the New Years at his dad's house Demi tagging along. It was how they usually did it.
"Have you had a good day sweetie?" Denise inquired Demi passing her a drink.
"Yeah it's been a good day but I know next year will be even better. The boys will be walking and even talking a little bit, I'm glad they'll be older when Christmas comes around again." Demi admitted taking a sip from the glass before setting it down on the side.
"Next Christmas will be great." Joe agreed kissing her temple gently.
"I have one more gift for you both." Denise stated handing Joe a envelope moving it away from Bailey ass she sniffed it.
"Mom you've already got us enough with paying for the boy's furniture." Joe demanded but Denise shook her head gently.
"Just open it." Denise demanded Joe tearing open the envelope Demi watching him as he did curious on what she had got them both. Joe looked in the envelope seeing two keys at the bottom. He pulled them out looking over at his mother.
"What are the keys for?" Joe questioned.
"This house, I want you both to have this house." Denise stated looking between them. She could see the shock on their faces.
