Demi couldn't help but smile when she woke up around six in the morning the first thing her eyes landing on being her sons who were still sleeping after being fed not long ago. She could hear Joe's soft snoring next to her but they weren't cuddled anymore finding their way away from each other in their sleep. Demi admired Jayden and Niall for a while as she gradually woke herself up, it was nice to know she wasn't doing anything today, they might have some visitors but they didn't have to go anywhere. Demi begun to get out of bed being careful not to wake her boys up but she soon heard Joe's voice.
"Is everything okay?" Demi leaned over kissing his forehead.
"Yes, I'm going to have a bath but in the bathroom down the hall so the running water doesn't wake the boys. Go back to sleep." Demi encouraged.
"You relax, I'll look after the boys." Demi pecked his lips gently before leaving the room carefully, she still ached. Joe rolled on his other side falling straight back to sleep.
Demi had ran her bath and spent a good hour just laid there thinking about where her life was taking her. She had a smile on her face as she did. She looked behind her when she heard footsteps seeing Joe with a baby monitor in his hands, he leaned down kissing her lips before shutting the lid on the toilet taking a seat.
"Have they been changed?" Demi questioned Joe nodding his head.
"I stayed with them until they fell back to sleep," Joe answered. "Feel better for a bath?" Demi nodded her head this time a small smile on her face.
"Yeah it's relaxing but cold so I'll be out soon, I wanna have some breakfast before the boys want feeding." Demi replied.
"I'll start making some if you want?" Demi nodded her head.
"That would be nice." Demi admitted smiling as they shared another kiss before he left the room. She got out the bath drying her hair and body slipping a pair of sweats on and one of Joe's old shirts checking on Jayden and Niall before she made her way downstairs. She sat at the dining room chair just in time for Joe to set a plate with a couple of blueberry pancakes in front of her.
"We didn't really have much in, I'll go shopping later on." Joe stated standing at the stove again to make his own pancakes.
"I suppose we have no choice, I don't really want to take Jayden and Niall out for long when they're not too old." Demi admitted.
"They'd be fine but it will just mess with the schedule we're trying to set so I'll go by myself." Joe approved flipping is pancake over in the pan.
"When is this court hearing?" Demi inquired.
"Two weeks as of yesterday." Joe answered then sighing.
"It will be okay Joe, he'll get what he deserves." Demi assured him taking a bite from her pancakes, she didn't feel too hungry but she knew she had to eat if she wanted to continue breast feeding Jayden and Niall. After yesterday she just didn't have much of an appetite. She couldn't believe that it was only yesterday she gave birth, it felt longer than that but Jayden and Niall were only a day old, not even that yet.
"I hope so cause he put me through a lot, how much did your dad get?"
"Joe is could be completely different for him, I don't want to say." Demi grumbled Joe slipping his pancake on the plate.
"He didn't get much did he?" Joe guessed Demi shaking her head.
"But my dad didn't stab me and nearly kill me Joe, Gary will get more than what my dad did." Demi promised as he sat down opposite her. She just wanted to get this out of the way and know how long Gary would be locked away for. It could be what Joe needed to completely settle down and be a dad.
