"Demi don't freak out." Demi heard a voice after the door opened. Her eyebrow raised as she looked at her sons who were on the play mat on their stomachs. AJ and Bailey were laid near them but they had been just fine with them since they came home, they had nothing to worry about. It had been three months and Jayden and Niall were getting bigger and bigger. They hadn't started crawling yet but they could roll over by themselves, they could reach out for toys while playing and luckily for Joe and Demi they often slept throughout the night waking up maybe only once every so often. They couldn't believe how quickly they were growing up.
"Joe what are you talking about?" Demi called back looking up at the door when he entered the room "Joe what happened?!" Demi exclaimed as she saw a black eye on her boyfriend along with a bust lip. She sighed when Niall started crying because of the sudden outburst lifting him up as she stood up making her way over.
"Some guy at work wasn't being corporative and lashed out when told to leave ." Joe mumbled taking Niall from her kissing the top of his head the boy settling down liking being so close to his parents. They wondered over to the couch sitting down together leaving Jayden on the floor where he was happy playing with his toy as he laid back looking over at them every so often.
"Joe do you really think this is a good place to work? You got harassed by that chick and now you're coming home beaten up." Demi stressed slightly.
"What am I supposed to do? We haven't found you a job so we don't have any money coming in besides what I'm earning. The boys are already growing out of their clothes and we barely have enough to get them pyjamas never mind day time clothes." Joe stressed back.
"Is there any other job you can see yourself doing?" Demi questioned holding Niall as reached out for her. She kissed his hair gently watching Jayden not wanting him to get hurt or harmed.
"I guess I always saw myself teaching," Joe admitted. "But we don't have the money for me to go to college and study for a couple of years."
"What about doing it at home? You can look after the boys while I go work if I can find a job," Demi suggested. "I just don't like seeing you like this." Demi stated kissing his cheek gently Joe sighing nodding his head gently.
"We could have a look," Joe agreed kissing the side of her head before he climbed up. "I'm going to take a bath then I'll look after the boys while you relax a little bit." Demi watched as he left the room holding Niall closer to her.
"What are we going to do with daddy?" She kissed his head before laying him back down on the floor next to his brother.
"I'm back, you can go have some time for yourself now." Joe stated as he sat down next to Demi kissing her head. Demi leaned her head on his shoulder Jayden and Niall still on the floor with AJ and Bailey who were now sleeping their ears pricking up everytime either Jayden or Niall squeal. Joe wrapped his arm back around Demi laying his head on hers.
"I'm fine, they'll want to go to sleep soon." Demi answered.
"I'll make a start on dinner, what do you want?" Joe inquired.
"We have some minced beef in that needs using up, make some meatballs or something." Demi suggested letting him pull away from her.
"Sounds nice, call if you need anything." They shared a kiss before Joe got up making his way into the kitchen. Demi smiled as she admired her sons on their play mat. They looked identical but they were already showing off their different personalities. She was surprised when AJ jumped up on the couch laying his head in her lap.
"Hey AJ." Demi breathed leaning down kissing the dog's head.
