One Hundred and Four

Joe opened the door smiling when his mother gave him a tight hug hugging her back just as tight. She pulled away from him leaning up kissing his cheek gently.

"Excited?" Denise questioned entering the house as he held the door open for him, Joe nodded his head shutting the door behind her.

"Of course, the boys are in the play room. Thanks for coming over, I didn't want them to see Demi like this." Joe stated leading her into the living room where she gave Demi a hug too Joe taking his seat next to Demi letting her lean into him.

"How far are the contractions?" Denise inquired.

"Not very far at the moment." Demi mumbled closing her eyes. It was late in the morning Demi having gotten up making breakfast for herself and the boys sitting down then feeling her contractions start. She got her wish from the last time wanting to go into labour when she had just woke up, she thought she wouldn't be as tired.

"I'll go keep Jay and Niall amused, call if you want anything." Denise stated making her way into the play room needing to keep Jayden and Niall amused so they wouldn't worry about their mom. Joe and Demi didn't want them to see Demi in so much pain.

"We'll have our little baby soon." Joe whispered in her ear. Demi cracked a small smile not able to wait to meet her daughter. Joe still didn't know that they were having a little girl but he had expressed that he was glad he didn't know so there was no need to.

"Joe!" Demi whined Joe shushing her holding her tighter helping her through the pain but he couldn't imagine what she was going through. He didn't like to see her in so much pain, it too was only because he knew he would be meeting his son or daughter soon that got him through seeing Demi this way. They both knew it would be worth it in the end. "Thanks." Demi mumbled when the contraction was over Joe kissing the corner of her mouth.

"You don't have to thank me for anything, you're the one giving me my child." Joe stated wiping her forehead gently, Demi didn't say anything, just caught her breath back before her contraction came around again.

"I need to walk Joe, it's getting uncomfortable." Demi complained allowing Joe to help her stand up. He wrapped his arm around her letting her lean into him as much as she needed to be comfortable not caring that it was causing him a little pain. He knew she was going through much worse than what he would her elbow pushing into his ribs.

"We'll head off to the hospital soon, they are getting closer together." Joe stated as they begun walking, it was just slowly around the room so Demi wasn't so uncomfortable.

"I just want him out of me." Demi mumbled, she had been very carefully over the months to not slip out that she was having their daughter, he seemed convinced that they were welcoming another boy, she knew he would be so happy when he found out it was a girl. Surprised but that's what he wanted and had done since the pregnancy with Jayden and Niall.

"He'll be here soon Demi then you don't have to go through this again." Joe praised.

"Not until we want another." Demi murmured.

"You still want more?" Joe questioned Demi nodding her head.

"Well not now but ask me when our baby is out of me and in my arms and I'll say yes," Demi answered Joe laughing kissing her head. They soon heard the doorbell echo throughout the house. "Head towards the door."

"You should sit down." Joe urged but Demi shook her head.

"I need to move a little bit." Dem answered Joe sighing as they made their way over to the door only just beating Denise who went back into the playroom knowing that they would answer. Joe opened the door to reveal an unfamiliar woman but to Demi she was very familiar.

"M-Mom?" Demi choked.
