Joe stared at his phone for a little bit debating whether to answer it or not but he pressed the left button ignoring the call. He needed to give her space even if that's not want she wanted. He wasn't surprised when she called again desperate to speak to her but he kept ignoring it everytime, he felt bad enough without constantly having her expression in his mind.
"Talk to her Joe." Denise stated noticing that neither of them were going to give up the war they were having. Joe looked at her before shaking his head switching his phone off.
"I really want her back but I don't know how I could ever show her how sorry I am." Joe mumbled leaning his head against the back of the couch feeling AJ joining him now. Their comfort was helping him keep calm.
"You're better off thinking about something and actually doing it rather than sitting here and doing nothing. Show her you really do love her and care about her and she might be a little easier on you, stop moping around and go do something special for her." Denise demanded Joe blinking away his tears, he just kept thinking about how much he would lecture his sons in the future if he found out they had cheated on their girlfriends. He didn't see how he could even lecture them now. Joe looked over at his mom asking her a question.
"If I plan something up quick will you be able to take the boys?" Denise nodded her head quickly, she wanted them to make up. She could see how much they loved one another, it was part of the reason she wasn't so upset when she found out they would be having a baby together. She just wanted them to be happy.
"Of course sweetie, I'll come by with you and pick them up and bring them back tomorrow morning. It will give the dogs some chance of getting used to them being around." Joe nodded his head once kissing AJ and Bailey on the head before making his way into his bedroom to try and organise something. Anything for him to be able to get Demi back.
Demi sighed when she heard a cry through the baby monitor. She had been trying to get hold of Joe for an hour now, she just wanted to speak to him. Find out what was going through his mind. She was a little down about the fact of him cheating but she'd rather them try their very best to work things out mainly so her sons would have a better life.
"Not now baby boy," Demi breathed but made her way upstairs lifting Niall up as soon as she saw it was him who was crying, she shushed him leaving the room since he was yet to wake his brother up. "What's wrong my little man?" She cooed rocking him gently making him calm down. She figured he had maybe hand a bad dream because it wasn't long ago he was fed and his diaper was still clean. Demi kissed his head as he settled back down laying him down in the crib next to his slightly older brother. She watched them both for a little while still a little emotional about what had been happening, she wanted to know that he was okay. She was interrupted when she heard a knock on the door. She left the room quietly shutting the door behind her beginning to make her way downstairs mentally praying that it was Joe, she wanted to hate him for what he had done but she was finding it difficult. She opened the door revealing the man who left not even an hour ago holding out a bunch of flowers for her to take. She sighed taking them.
"I know a bunch of flowers doesn't make up for what I have done but I hope it's a start?" Joe questioned Demi shrugging her shoulders.
"I don't know what to think anymore." Demi mumbled walking away but she left the door open Joe entering shutting it behind him. He jogged after her seeing that she was already putting them in water so they would last longer.
"I'm so sorry for what I have done Demi, I know nothing I can say will make the situation better but I hope my actions will be enough for you to forgive me." Joe spoke.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean go on a date with me tonight, let me show you how much I really do love you and how sorry I am and if you don't think this can work between us anymore I'll respect that and go." Joe begged slightly Demi looking over at him. She couldn't say no.
"What about Jay and Niall?" Demi inquired.
"My mom is waiting in the car to take them for the night that's if you say yes." Demi nodded her head just once looking over at him.
"Fine I'll see what you have planned but you must know that no matter what happens I will do what's right by my sons."
"Me too." Joe breathed holding out her hand not helping but crack a small smile when she took his.
