Demi screamed from the pain as another contraction hit her, she grabbed Joe's arm forcing him to look over at her knocking him out of his thoughts.
"What's wrong?" He inquired worried.
"I-I feel like I need to push." She stated Joe standing up quickly rushing out of the room without not saying another word. Dianna hesitated but she leaned over taking hold of Demi's hand to help her through the contraction. Demi was thankful as he eyes closed taking in deep breaths as she tried to think about something that wasn't the burning pain in her lower stomach. Joe came back not long later with the midwife who leaned down to check on Demi. It didn't take long until she stood up again taking her gloves off her hands.
"It's time to have a baby, we're going to move you to the delivery room." She answered calmly not wanting to panic the expectant mother but Demi was too tired to respond much. Joe held her hand tight as they begun to move her down the hallway, Dianna remained outside of the room not knowing whether to follow or not.
"Joe I want my mom in here." Demi mumbled as he wiped her forehead of sweat. Joe sighed taking hold of her hand kissing her temple slightly.
"Demi your mom hasn't been here for most of your life, you don't need her." He encouraged, he didn't want to stop her having a relationship with her mother but now wasn't the time. They were welcoming a baby to the world, it was something they should do together.
"Joe please." Demi begged making Joe sigh nodding his head as he exited the room.
Demi took in a deep breath as she felt the pressure leave her body a loud cry filling the room, she smiled as her daughter was laid on her chest letting go of Joe and Dianna's hand so she could support the baby. The little girl settled against her mother as she recognised her.
"Congratulations you have a little girl," Demi's eyes wondered from her daughter to Joe seeing that he was crying already. "I'll get her cleaned up then she can come back to her mommy and daddy." The parents watched as their daughter was taken away, she only started to whimper again not recognising where she was.
"I-I thought you thought it was a boy?" Joe breathed wiping his eyes of tears, Demi just took his hand again. They hadn't even noticed Dianna leave so they could have their little family moment.
"I knew it was a girl from the twenty week scan, I didn't tell anyone so it would be a surprise for you. Well I told AJ but I presume he didn't tell you." Demi explained Joe laughing slightly leaning down kissing her lips.
"Thank you," He expressed squeezing her hand.
Once Demi was cleaned up and the newborn was checked over she was laid down in Demi's arms once again now in recovery. Joe was by her side admiring his daughter as she settled in Demi's arms squinting slightly because of the harsh light.
"I have a name," Demi breathed Joe looking at her. "Eloise Faith Jonas."
"I love it." He mumbled kissing Eloise's head before he got up beginning to leave the room Demi watching him as he did.
"Where are you going?"
"Out, I need some air." Joe stated.
"What's wrong? Have I done something wrong?" Demi questioned shushing Eloise as she begun to whimper clearly sensing the tension in the room.
"What do you think?" Joe left the room ignoring everyone who was waiting outside. He had his phone in his pocket ready to call his mom to see how his sons were. He didn't want to leave his daughter behind but he just couldn't be in there at the moment.
Demi was left in the room with her daughter.
