"I missed you too!" Joe cooed as he was attacked by two big dogs. He laughed as they managed to knock him down on the floor clearly happy to see him, Demi had managed to escape the rampage hiding in the hallway outside her old apartment. Joe smiled when Bailey settled down laying down next to him Joe ruffling her hair before sitting up greeting AJ as well.
"Is it safe?" Demi questioned Joe laughing as the dogs were settled with Joe.
"Yeah you can come in." Joe stated kissing AJ's head gently wrapping his arms around his neck. They had just proved they weren't ready to come live back with them, they were just too excited but they were still puppies so they didn't expect anything less. They just couldn't trust them around the boys at the moment. Demi sat down next to him spending some time with Bailey, both dogs were closer to Joe because of how much Demi tried to avoid them whilst pregnant but she hoped now to get closer to the dogs. She enjoyed having them around.
"Are you ready to meet Jayden and Niall?" Demi cooed stroking the sides of her face. They knew they would be brilliant around the babies when they're older and a little more trained, they had kind natures. Just sometimes they got a bit excitable and they weren't small dogs. They had managed to push Joe down on the floor.
"I think they are," Joe stood up grabbing their leashes from the side attaching them onto their collars taking hold of both, he didn't want them to push Demi over when she was still recovering from giving birth. "We're going mom! We'll be back with them later on!"
"Okay bye!" Denise called back having escaped into the kitchen while Joe settled the dogs. They both left shutting the door behind them heading back towards their house.
"I'll go get the boys, try and keep them calm." Demi stated leaning up pecking his lips before taking the baby monitor from Nick heading upstairs with Willa. Joe sat down next to Nick Bailey jumping up laying her head down in his lap AJ staying on the floor sniffing around the room Nick watching him as he did. They had already told them about what happened in court, everyone seemed supportive of Joe's choice and that's what mattered to him, he knew he made the right choice. He couldn't let anyone die even if it was Gary who had put him through a lot.
"Now you're about to meet two very small people, are you listening AJ Jonas." Joe joked laughing along with Nick.
"I think they'll be fine." Nick stated stroking Bailey's head as she laid with Joe, he could see how much Joe loved the dogs.
"I hope so cause I miss them being around," Joe stated smiling as AJ climbed up onto the couch as well but stayed sat up next to his sister. "AJ is too cool to come lay with daddy aren't you." He leaned over to stroke the dog laughing as he swiped his hand away with his paw.
"These are some amazing dogs." Nick praised. They both looked at the doorway when Demi and Willa entered again Demi carrying Jayden and Willa had Niall. Both dogs looked over at them but remained calm. Nick moved so Demi was able to sit next to Joe with the young boy in her arms. Bailey looked up never having seen such a tiny person before. Demi held Jayden close but was ready to bring him back if Bailey got to excited, they were positive they wouldn't get aggressive, it was just hurting them when they got too excited.
"I don't think we have anything to worry about with Bailey, it's AJ." Joe stated watching carefully as AJ jumped off the couch making his way over to Demi lifting his front two paws up on the edge of the couch looking at Jayden who was awake making cooing noises as he flexed his fingers in and out. He begun to get fussy as AJ sniffed him but Demi shushed him keeping her eyes on the dogs as Willa laid Niall down in Joe's arms allowing Bailey to get a closer look. They both smiled as they remained calm AJ now back on the floor stood up looking over at Jayden.
