"Baby?" Jayden questioned both Joe and Demi nodding their heads. They were a little nervous about their reaction but they knew in the end they would be happy about having a brother or a sister, they would be good brothers to, they were sure of it. Jayden looked up at his father giggling when he kissed his nose. "Where?"
"In mommy's tummy here." Demi stated laying her hand on her flat stomach smiling as Niall put his hand on there too.
"How did they get there?!" Niall exclaimed making their parents laugh.
"That's a story for another day, are you excited? You're going to be big brothers." Joe questioned both of them nodding their head quickly.
"When baby coming?" Jayden inquired.
"In October November time." Demi replied.
"That's ages away!" Niall exclaimed again leaning back against his mother but not hard, he didn't want to hurt his little brother or sister. They were still confused on why the baby was in mommy's tummy but Joe and Demi knew it would make more sense for them as the pregnancy progressed and Demi started to form a bump, they'd know then that there was a baby in there because at the moment Demi looked the same.
"This is your brother or sister look." Joe encouraged holding a picture out in front of them both Demi pointing to where the baby was, it was hard to see if you didn't know what you were looking for but it just made the identical boys more confused.
"Me thought baby was in mommy tummy." Jayden stated the parents laughing.
"The baby is but that is a picture so mommy and daddy can keep it forever, we have some of you as well when you were just a tiny baby in mommy's tummy." Demi explained.
"No me wasn't in mommy's tummy, that weird." They laughed as Niall got up running over to his toy box clearly not convinced.
"Me believe you mommy." Jayden stated before following his brother. Joe and Demi looked at one another before laughing shaking their heads at their sons.
"Maybe we'll have better luck the next time we have a baby." Joe grinned pulling her into a hug kissing the top of her head.
Demi was often the one who put Jayden and Niall to bed while Joe cleaned down the kitchen after dinner and bathing his sons. Demi tucked Jayden into bed kissing the top of his head gently as he settled down into bed.
"Mommy me not tired." Niall mumbled.
"You have to go to sleep so you can grow into a really big boy like daddy." Demi encouraged tucking him in too kissing his head laughing as he shut his eyes straight away ready to go to sleep.
"Goodnight baby!" Jayden exclaimed making Demi smile.
"I'm sure your little brother or sister is happy that you said goodnight to them," Demi exited the room standing in the doorway. "Goodnight boys." Demi shut the door after switching the light off. She changed into something more comfortable before joining Joe in the kitchen as he finished off wiping the counter down.
"Are they asleep?" Joe questioned Demi nodding her head leaning up kissing him gently before pulling away.
"Jay said goodnight to the baby." She revealed making Joe smile.
"We have amazing boys." He grinned Demi nodding her head in agreement as he lead her into the living room but past the couch.
"Where are we going?" Demi questioned giggling as he lifted her up into his arms.
"Finishing off earlier remember." He kissed her temple as he made his way upstairs Demi giggling against his chest.
