A Story to Tell

December 12th, 2015

"Does the pasta taste okay?" Ash asks as I cut the lettus for the salad.
"Mmm it tastes good!" I say happily.
"Really?? I want Jamie to like it." She says. This is the first time Ash and Kay are going to meet Jamie. Really I'm not going crazy and wild like how they are.
"Ya he'll like it." I say with a smile.
"How does this look?!" Kaylee asks as she walks into the room with a purple knee length dress with only one shooter covered up and the other shoulder is revealing her heart shaped tattoo on her back.
"Beautiful!" I say to her.
"Awe thanks! I just can't wait to see you in your dress! I hope he likes it!" She squeals and I smile.
"What time did he say he was going to be here?" Ash asks.
"7:30." I call back.
"Crap! It's 6:45 and I need to get ready!" She says and throws her mittens on the floor and runs out the back door to the cottage. I laugh. It's like they are going on the date with him.
"We need to get you ready, come!" She says and takes me back to her room. She takes out a dress and tells me to put it on. I walk to her bathroom and now I'm used to it being big. I try it on and it's a red silky strapless flowy cocktail dress with a nice bow on the back. It's pretty! I walk out so she could see.
"AHH! You look better in it then I did! You can keep it!" She says.
"What?? No. It's yours." I say.
"Nope nope nope! It's yours now!" She says.
"Thank you so much!" I say and give her a hug.
"Anytime!" She answers.
"Now we need to do your hair and make up." She says and she starts right away.
Once she was done I looked at the mirror. I had the same pretty big eyes and red lips, my hair was half up half down with curls. Pretty.
"Ready!" She says. I laugh. She always so happy!
"What time is it?" She asks.
"Umm, 7:17." I say.
"OHHH! He's almost here! We need to go set up the table!" And just like that she is gone. I smile and follow her. I help her set up the table and she grabs the wine glasses and a bottle of water for me. Wow. Isn't it illegal to have wine when your a minor? Oh well.
Ash walks in just in time, the doorbell rings.
"Go get it!!" Kaylee whispers. I smile and walk towards the door. I open it and see my big beautiful man in waiting with a bouquet of flowers.
"Hi thanks for the flowers, there for me." I tease.
"Haha very funny." He says and leans in and gives me a kiss. I let him in and he follows me looking at the big house.
"Damn this is big." He says.
"Yupp. I got used to it." I say. Finally we reach Ash and Kaylee. I have to remember to call Ash Miranda.
"Jamie, this is my sister Miranda and my cousin Kaylee." I say nervously.
"Nice to meet you two." He says shaking their hands.
"Hi, Dani has told us a whole lot about you." Ash says calmly. I blush when she says that. He laughs.
"Well the food is ready, let's dig in!" Kaylee squeals.

"Oh my, this food was delicious! Thank you Kaylee and Miranda." Jamie says politely.
"Anytime!" Kaylee says.
"So you guys are both online schooled?" Jamie asks Ash and I.
"Yup." Ash says.
"It must be hard. You know the holidays and without your parents." He says sympathetic.
"It's fine. We do miss them but we know they are in a better place." Ash says. Dang she is a good actress!
"Well if you guys need anything, just call me." He says and he is looking directly at me. I feel hear go to my cheeks and I look down realizing what he meant. We talk more that night and Jamie was able to get along with the girls just fine. Soon after 9 he had to leave though.
"You should come more often, you know just to hang out." Kaylee says as we walk to the door.
"Ya that'll be cool." Jamie says with a smile.
"Well, we'll see you okay? Take care!" Kaylee says. She sounds like a mom! Jamie laughs and I walk him outside.
"Well that was fun. They are pretty cool." He says looking back.
"Mmm... Thanks." I say come ting my fingers to his.
"Next time you can meet my parents." He says with a smile.
"What if they don't like me?" I ask.
"They will, you don't have to worry about it." He says.
"Thanks, I'll go. Just tell me when." I say still wrapped around him.
"How about the 20th?" She asks. I think. Oh crap I have the baby appointment.
"Oh well I have a doctor appointment for the baby. Maybe after that would be fine." I say.
"Ya that's great." He says and he kisses my forehead. I smile.
"I had an amazing time tonight Dani. I wish it could continue but I have to get home." He says. I grunt then he laughs.
"I'll see you tomorrow okay?" He says and looks at me.
"Okay." I say with a smile.
"Goodnight baby. Sweet dreams." He says and kisses me sweetly on my lips. Then he untangles away from me and walks to his car. I wave back before I turn around and walk back to the house. I go inside and I see Kaylee's and Ashely's smile.
"He was amazing!" Kaylee exclaims.
"You picked a good one! Totally better then Alex!" Ashely says and I chuckle.
"Yes. Definitely better then Alex. Anyways I'm tired. I'm going to bed. Goodnight guys!" I say.
"Goodnight!" They both say at the same time. I walk out the back door and head toward the cottage. I go to my room and close the door and went to change. I walk back to the room and start to remove the sheets. I lay down and watch what ever was on tv. I rub my belly again then slowly went to sleep.
