I lay on my back watching tv and eating popcorn in the morning. Honestly last night was confusing. I have been feeling a few kicks and there. They like to move. I hear a few knocks on the door and I rise up.
"Come in." I say. The door opens slowly and I see Juliana peering towards me.
"I'm sorry to bother you. Can I come in?" She asks.
"Sure." I say finally sitting.
"Listen about last night, I'm sorry if you got the wrong impression. I am happy for you. I would have liked it if it happened sooner once you guys finished school." She says and I give her a small smile.
"Caro, I am willing to take you into my home. You have been so good to my son and he has improved ever since he met you. I'm sorry about your past, we can be your future if you like. We will be here by your side and fight for you. Please know that." She says. I smile.
"Okay. Thank you so much." I say with a small smile. She smiles and looks at me.
"Umm if you don't mind, can I?" She asks and I notice her hand reaching my belly.
"Of course." I say warningly. She placed her small hand on my belly and we wait. I feel them swimming around and they hit the surface once or twice and a smile traces her face.
"Your grand daughters like you." I say with a small smile.
"Girls?" She asks eyes widen. I nod and smile. She hugs me and I hug her back. I had never felt like this. My mom never gave me hugs. If I grew up like this I would have never left.
