                          You let out a satisfied sigh, smiling softly to yourself as Legolas pulled you closer to his chest.
                          "Must you leave?" You asked, curling your fingers into the fabric of his tunic.
                          "Yes, my love. Lord Elrond has requested my presence in Rivendell."
                          You sighed, pulling your head away to look up at him. "Promise me you'll return safely?"
                          He leaned down to kiss you gently on your soft lips, his hand reaching up to tuck your soft hair behind your ear. "Of course my love. Now – let us forget about that for a few hours."
                          He took your hand and led you away.
                          The next morning, you stood with him at the gates of Mirkwood, eyes watery.
                          "Do not cry, melamin, for it's not goodbye. It's see you later."
                          You chuckled lightly through your tears, kissing him firmly on the mouth.
                          "See you later, melamin."
