I've only done one for our favorite little hobbit...

This is my first ever time writing something with song lyrics, so I apologize ahead of time if it sucks.

PS: Think of this as both a Christmas gift and a thank you for the 40,000 FVCKING READS!

I have very recently become very VERY obsessed with this song. The damn feels get me every friggin' time.

(If you haven't heard this song, I attached it to my part titled 'SOBBING' where I had a mental breakdown over BOTFA.

~The Last Goodbye.~

I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover my fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye

You sat beside Bilbo on the steps of the tower, not saying anything. You stared straight ahead, same as him, and just sighed.

You looked over at him, and smiled gently, taking his hand in yours, squeezing it gently.

You both sat there, hand in hand, with silent tears running down your faces.

Night is now falling
So ends this day
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over hill and under tree
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea
Under cloud, beneath the stars
Over snow and winter's morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home

You looked back at the company, as you and Bilbo began walking out of Erebor.

Balin stood just outside, a sad smile on his face. You hugged the gentle dwarf, sniffing back your tears. You stepped back, the tears in your eyes blurring your vision slightly.

Bilbo turned back to the company. "If any of you should happen to pass by the Shire, come on down to Bag End. Don't even bother to knock."

The company smiled, a few chuckled, and you giggled, wiping your tears.

Bilbo walked back to you, and took your hand. He smiled at you, and you could see the tears in his eyes.

Gandalf appeared, and you both walked up to him as he smiled softly at you.

And, oh, where the road then takes me,
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the day
To bid you farewell

You walked next to Bilbo, your hand in his.

"Is it really over?" You asked him, watching your hobbit feet as you carefully stepped over a large root, Bilbo helping you down.

He looked into your eyes. "Sadly, yes. It is. At least we have the memory."

"The memory," you repeated. The memory, new friends, and a story to tell the children.

Many places I have been
Many sorrows I have seen
But don't regret
Nor will I forget
All who took that road with me

Rivendell. The Misty Mountains. Mirkwood. The Forest. Lake Town. Erebor.

You smiled thinking about all the new sights you had seen. Bilbo seeing your smile squeezed your hand.

Your smile softened as you thought of those who had visited those places with you.

Gandalf, Oin, Gloin, Nori, Dori, Ori, Balin, Dwalin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur.

Kili. Fili. Thorin.

You looked up at Bilbo, and Kissed him, smiling.

It was an adventure you'd surely never forget.

I bid you all a very fond farewell.
