Through it All

Chapter 32

A lot has happened the last month. Cheyenne signed a contract with BG's record label for the 2 songs and tour dates. BG went home after that Monday meeting and Amber was gone left a note telling him that even though she loved him she couldn't deal with his lifestyle anymore. She was sorry she never meant to hurt him and she would file for divorce the only thing she asked is that he not run her down to his fans because their are some crazy ones out there. He agreed to that because he loved her and only wanted what was best for her. He called Cheyenne that Monday night and just like he did for her she headed to Georgia to be the support her friend needed.
BG ended up heading to the farm on Wednesday when Cheyenne left to get back to Ace and his game. They all returned to Nashville and had a great weekend showing the boys around.
Sierra and Ellie had finished their college year and were enjoying watching Ace compete in baseball and track as his year winds down. They both worried about their mom. They were so afraid that she hasn't had time to grieve for their dad. They also know that in 3 weeks they would be able to tell it would have been their parents anniversary of their first date and as long as they remembered they still celebrated that day with each other. But first they had to get Ace through these playoffs and state meet.

BG and the band are getting prepared to start the summer tour and Cheyenne will be making a few shows to give the fans a preview of the record. So there have been rehearsals for that. It is looking like it will be the best time yet. The band loves Cheyenne and can't wait to have her on the road with them. They think it will be good for both Cheyenne and BG. It has been a roller coaster for them this last month.

They all have a big weekend as Ace has his baseball playoffs and track meet to qualify for state. The whole gang is coming out on Friday to surprise both Ace and Cheyenne. After his games on Saturday they are planning on having a bonfire and party with friends from Nashville, Tuscaloosa and of course Cheyenne's family and friends. Cheyenne doesn't know but her girls know and have planned it out. Said it was time to entertain at the new house. There will be people of all ages there.

Nate had been a friend to Cheyenne and nothing more for now. He has been getting braver with his approach though. He wonders how fast he needs to move now that BG is getting a divorce. Maybe he needs to start a rumor that there was an affair. Cheyenne wouldn't have anything to do with him if she found out but then how would she ever know it came from him? That's something that he hasn't moved on yet so we will have to wait to see what happens. He can hardly wait till the party at Cheyenne's maybe he will be able to get her alone and make his move.

Ace has been doing great and has even hit another home run. It looks like they could go deep in playoffs and he may make state in all 4 events. He will be doing double duty on Friday and Sat with track Friday all day and baseball double header Friday night and then track Sat morning and if needed a game Saturday. He is glad that his mom has BG and all her friends to lean on. He was afraid that she would become overprotective since his dad died but she hasn't changed when it comes to him. He is excited that she is going to be on an album and tour with Brantley Gilbert. He has had a couple of colleges contact him to see if he might be interested and he is but he's not making any decisions yet. When he graduates his mom won't be at home alone now. She will have a busy schedule. The only thing he is worried about is how Liz told her that she was spitting in his dads grave for doing the album and tour. She is promoting sin and living a life that Robert would be ashamed of. Dad wouldn't be ashamed he would be proud that mom is continuing to honor him by keeping her promise to be open. They haven't really spoken unless it was at work and he heard his mom talking to someone about it the other day. He thinks she has made it really bad at work especially the days that Nate happens to come by and check on his mom. He knows his dad didn't like Nate not sure what all went on but Nate has been there to help them. More than moms best friend Liz. If she keeps up he may just have to talk to her and set her straight about his mom.
