Through it All

Chapter 60

In the lobby stood Sierra Colt Ellie Brody Claire Ace Cheyenne BG and Kolby. Cheyenne was hugging them and telling them to let her know that they made it safe home. Kolby was talking to Claire. Ace came up and said mom it's just a couple weeks and then we will tour. She said I know I just didn't realize it was gonna be this hard. He told her he would still text her like he always did about what he was doing . She told him she loved him. She told them all she loves them and they were gone. BG hugged her and said its gonna be alright baby. She told him she knew that but it was still hard.

BG phone rang and he answered it and said we are on our way now and yeah man that sounds good. Cheyenne asked him what's up and he said that they were waiting on them and that they had added a show for tommorow night so right after rehearsal they had to get on the buses and head out. BG said I'm glad we already have everything packed and on the buses thanks to you. Cheyenne said this is really happening. BG hugged her and said yeah baby it is.

The bus was waiting for them after rehearsal and they got on their bus saying goodbye to the band.  Cheyenne sat down in the chair up front and sent the kids a message about the change in schedule. PJ the bus driver told them they would be driving until 9pm and then they would stop for supper and then head on out after that until they arrived in Ohio at the venue. BG said thanks man and PJ said BG can you give me a heads up so I know about the door and earplugs.
BG said yeah man if I close the door then put em in. 

BG sat down in his chair and grabbed his guitar and started playing and Cheyenne looked up and just watched him. She snapped a picture and posted it to all her social media tagging B in it with the caption I will never get tired of watching him do what he loves. She heard Bs phone go off and he looked at it and smiles. B looks at her and says thank you for that. Your support has gotten me through so much. She asked was he working on something and he told her he was always working on something. He set his guitar down and told her he wanted her to come sit in his lap. She did as he asked and he said I want to talk since we won't be interrupted for a while. It scared her a little.

BG POV
Chey sat down in my lap and I looked at her and said  I know that our relationship isn't typical, that we have moved very fast and I know that there may be days and events that you miss Robert and grieve hard at those times. I want you to know that I get that, it won't take away from us and our relationship so please feel free to do that openly with me. Don't feel like you have to hide it from me. I miss him every day Chey and when I knew I was going to ask you to marry me I picked up the phone to call him because he would be happy for me and then I thought how strange that sounded cause you were his wife.  So it's okay to cry and be sad all I ask is that you let me know otherwise I will think it is something I have done. I always want to keep our communication open otherwise we will fail and that is something I can't do , I cannot lose you.

Cheyenne looked at me with tears in her eyes and said what did I do to deserve you? Not only was I blessed with Robert but now I have been blessed with you. I do miss him but I know he wanted me to be happy and you make me happy. I'm sure there will be days that is like you describe but we will deal with the like we always have. Together talking it out. But know that I may say it's one of those days and not want to talk right then but I promise you this I will talk to you. Like I told you in the beginning I cannot lose you B I wouldn't survive. I wanted to call him when we got engaged because he was always the first person I called so I understand and yes he would be happy for us.

Now that we have said that do you want to talk about wedding? She looked at me and asked what do you want honestly?  I told her that I had the traditional wedding before so I wasn't really sure. She said yeah me too.  I asked if she had talked with anyone about it and she told me no that she wanted to talk to me first.

Well darlin since it's just us let's just throw things out there. She said okay. I asked if she wanted big or small and she said I was thinking small but then I think about our family and friends and where do we cut it off? I told her I wanted small too. And I get what you mean about where to cut it off. Cause the more we invite the bigger chance of press getting wind of it. She said she had thought of that too.  She said I thought about just you and me deciding when and where and getting married and then throwing a big party at your house in Georgia and telling them then.  I was a little shocked that she said that I would have thought she would want her kids there. So I asked her what about the kids and momma and Kolby and your parents? She said yeah I know I don't want them to get mad but if I am totally honest I only care about you and me. I know that sounds selfish B but I can't help it. I told her baby that isn't selfish I understand. Let me throw this out there what about giving our families a date tell them what it is and we get married. Then we can have a big party at the farm and invite everyone from both sides or do a big party in Nashville and invite and put up everyone from out of town at the hotel.
She said your place is big but I don't know if I want everyone knowing where you live so quiet private ceremony then big bash in Nashville? 
Darlin you have read my mind, so I will take care of the music, you can figure out a date that works with everyone's schedule for the wedding. Then we hire an event planner to do the bash  in Nashville so we don't have to worry with it all. You just tell them what you want and send the bills to me.  Okay she said but what do you think about getting married in Gatlinburg or the beach? That way we can pay for the family a vacation.  I like it baby I think Gatlinburg though. She said great now when and I told her as soon as she wanted to do it. She grinned and said I'm glad you don't want to drag out the engagement. I asked her what she wanted me to wear and I got a little worried when she grinned. She said B I want you to wear jeans and a black button down shirt and your black leather vest if you agree with that . I grinned at that and said yeah I like that idea. What are you going to wear? I'm not sure is what she told me. I looked at her and said why not baby?  Cheyenne told me that she would wear a dress she just wasn't sure what kind, that she didn't know if she wanted to go the whole traditional dress route. I told her that it didn't matter what she wore that she would be beautiful. She asked if I would start a group text with our friends and explain it to them that way they aren't hurt. I told her I would so I got my phone and told them all what we were thinking and asked for feedback.
Well our phones got blown up with approval from everyone and they said that they couldn't wait for the celebration. The girls all said they would help shop for the dress if she wanted them to. Cheyenne had sent a message to our families with the plans and everyone of them thought it was a great plan. I could tell their approval made her happy. It was then that I realized how much she had been stressing over this already. She looked at me and said I'm glad this is settled cause I wanted everyone to be okay with what we wanted. I didn't want to make anyone mad B.  Baby I just now realized how much you were stressing over this and I'm sorry but listen to me okay it doesn't matter what they think all I really care about is you and me baby and what we want. It's our day and all I want is you to be happy that day. Cause all I will be thinking about is you and you becoming my wife. She looked at me and said I love you B and you get me without even trying and that is why you make me happy.

I don't know what I did to deserve her but I'm gonna make sure I show her every day what she means to me.
