Through it All

Chapter 51

BG and Cheyenne go up to Nashville on Sunday before they expect the kids on Monday. He takes her around town and shows her where he sang just starting out and they go dancing like a couple of young kids. They meet some of their fans who ask for both of their autographs. Cheyenne was surprised. He just watched her knowing it was the first of many for her. They walked around just talking and enjoying each other's company before the rush of radio interviews and rehearsals and meetings started the next 2 days. The band arrives tomorrow and Sierra Ellie Claire and Ace arrive also. Kolby will be coming on Tuesday bringing Momma Becky.

Tonight was just for them. BG took Cheyenne back to the hotel and made sweet love to her all night just showing her how precious she was to him. She lay on his chest tracing his tattoos and was tracing the one of her when he asked her what were her thoughts on marriage. She paused and said B I don't want to have this conversation with you if this is not you wanting this. Please don't ask me if it is because of what your momma said last week. B looked at her and said darlin I love you and I want to see where your head is cause I know where mine is. Well B I loved being married you know that , I think marriage is great but I understand where you feel differently. That's okay with me I know we are together for the long haul. B says no I want to know what your feelings are about being married to me Chey. She sits up and looks at him and said B I love you and I would be so lucky if you wanted to marry me . But I know how you felt about commitment before your marriage and I guess that I'm not surprised if you don't want marriage again. B takes her hand in his and the other on her cheek and says Darlin I love you and I want to marry you. I just don't know what your feelings are on it, and when would it be appropriate to ask you. This is all new to me. Cheyenne leaned over and kissed him and said it doesn't matter when or what time as long as it feels right to us remember our motto Let it ride, day by day mile by mile and smile by smile. Kind of what Ace said love knows no timeframe it only knows who it wants. B looks at her and kisses her and lays her down to show her how much he loves her again.

Next morning they have to be up early for a couple of radio interviews. The first one is Bobby Bones show. They get there at 7:00am and get wired up Cheyenne is so nervous. BG shakes Bobbys hand and hugs Amy and introduces Cheyenne to both of them. She is a little stars truck cause she listens every morning to them. They start off the interview with questions about the new album and tour dates and that segs into Cheyenne and the duet video. BObby asks BG why did you choose Cheyenne instead of one of the female country singers? BG replies well Bobby I really didn't want to do a duet but the label said I had to do one but I could choose the singer. I hadn't picked one out and they were getting short with me and then Cheyenne called and said that Robert had been in an accident so I headed to Alabama to say goodbye to my brother. We had a rough week and the night before me and the guys were heading home we all got together at the hotel restaurant to eat. We didn't know it was karaoke night and everyone was singing it and Bottoms up came up and the guy pointed at Sierra that it was her turn and she said not without mom. So they got up there and killed my song. Ben had videoed it and sent it to me I sent it on telling them I found my female singer. And the rest is history as they say. Bobby looks to Cheyenne and said how did he get you to agree and she smiled and said that easy he didn't play fair. BG did his classic smirk with the raised eyebrow and she said don't look at me like that B you didn't and you know it. He just laughs and Bobby said do tell. Well it was late that night early the next morning about 2am and I am up in my new house just having trouble sleeping. I text B and asked if he was up. Then I told him never mind it was late and I would talk to him later. He called me and aske what was wrong and I told him I couldn't sleep and asked what he was doing up and he told me he was headed to Nashville so we talked a few minutes and I asked him to sing to me and he wanted to know what song and I said Let it Ride he laughed and said that was just on and he had thought of me because that was one of my favorite sayings when I didn't know what to do. So he said I will if you sing with me so I do and then after the chorus I told him I was sleepy and talk to him later. Then as I was telling him goodbye he asked if I would sing with him and I told him I already did and he said no on my album and I said sure B not realizing what I had signed up for until I talked to B the next day. He felt guilty for conning me. BG laughed at that last statement. Bobby said you didn't play fair BG and Cheyenne laughed at that and stuck her tongue out at BG . He looked at her and said Darlin if you ain't prepared to use that you better put it back in your mouth. Bobby then asked BG and Cheyenne when did they become a couple and everyone in country music was wanting to know. I mean your husband just died and you just got a divorce BG. How did it happen? BG said well Bobby it was the night of the video that everyone has seen, we had been in what we called the twilight zone for a couple days with everyone asking when we were going to realize we loved each other and her son told us that love didn't know timeframes it just knew who it belonged to and that she needed to remember her promise to Robert. Bobby asked Cheyenne do you care to share the promise? Cheyenne said no I don't care because it might help someone else out there. He told me to promise him that I would be open to love and to life that I would embrace what came my way. So that is how B and I decided to just see where it goes and let it ride.
Okay now that we have covered that are you guys excited about performing at the awards show tomorrow night? BG said yeah man it is going to rock and Cheyenne said yes I am but nervous at the same time. It will be my first performance with a big crowd. BG looked at Cheyenne and said I will be right there beside you doll face. And gave her a kiss. Bobby says I have to ask because it is on everyone's mind how is Amber have you spoken to her Cheyenne because if I read right you were friends. Yes Bobby I have spoken to Amber and we were friends but it is a little difficult considering the circumstances. So no cat fights? BG chuckled at that and said I believe that a couple of things were said by both ladies but then it was done. Cheyenne says a true southern belle never tells her secrets Bobby. They all laugh at that statement and Bobby plugs the tour and the awards show. The second interview went went like the first and they headed to rehearsals. It was a little scary for Cheyenne but the second time through you couldn't tell it wasn't something she did everyday. BG could hardly wait till tomorrow night and what he had planned for Cheyenne. Now to finish getting it together without her knowing. She told him that the kids had just arrived and so he told her to go ahead and spend time with them and he would meet her at the hotel later.

Cheyenne got to the hotel and the kids all wanted to go to the pool so she put on her swimsuit and met them down there. That was the first time that they saw her tattoo. Ellie and Claire loved it Sierra and Ace listened to her and they got on board with it. Kolby came out and said it was kickass and then told them about BGs tattoo he got of their mom so then Ace gets a phone call and goes inside and then talks to Sierra and Ellie . They all go in and Cheyenne is getting some sun when Caroline joins her telling her that she has her dresses in her room. They will take the performance dress to the place tomorrow at rehearsals. She tells her about the kids reaction to her tattoo. They stay a little longer and then head to their rooms to get ready for dinner. Luke has gotten a place for all of them and Jason and Brittany and a whole bunch of different singers to eat and hang out together.
