Through it All

Chapter 24

As Brantley walks up he can see that they are all having a great time tonight they have 3 tables put together for the band and Cheyenne's family looks like he's the last to arrive at this party. The guy that is singing karaoke now is bad but they don't act like they care they are clapping and having a good time. He walks up and Cheyenne tells him to cop a squat. BG looks at her and asks if she's been drinking. Cheyenne laughs and tells him that he knows she doesn't drink. Just making sure BG states. The boys in the band have but they aren't drunk yet.  The next song is BG's Bottoms Up and they point out for Sierra to do it she looks at Cheyenne and says the only way I will do it is if you go with me mama. To everyones surprise Cheyenne does, they know she has a decent voice she sings in church a lot and is always singing with the radio but they haven't ever heard her do karaoke much less one of BG's song. All they can do is smile, those girls just rocked that song the whole place was rocking for a small town Friday night. It plants a seed in BG's mind he may have to look into doing a duet with a female. It's something his label has wanted but he never has found the right female voice until now. God thing he is going home and then on to Nashville on Monday , he has some things to discuss with the label about another album now. He asks as they are coming back if anyone got that on their phone and of course Ben did so he tells Ben to send it to him. Ben looks at Cheyenne and says something BG cant make out and she laughs. BG meant what he said, she is off limits to them. To much can happen that would screw his family up.  BG sends the video to his manager with the message I think I have found my female singer for a duet.  His manager sends back that's good we will talk more when we meet on Monday.  The night rocks on everyone has been taking pictures and posting them on social media. It has been a good night of both the past ( stories of Robert) and present (making plans for summer and getting everyone together) as they have been there most everyone has come up to say something to Cheyenne and the kids about Robert and glad that they are celebrating a great man. Cheyenne tells them all that she couldn't have made it through the week without her family being there to support her. She even had someone take their picture and her post was "my family my rock" with the hashtag you should be here. That song means so much more now. BG nation blew up everyone's phones with the shares and retweets. As karaoke was winding down another of BG's songs came up and it was You don't know her like I do and BG actually got up there and sung it. That was the moment that everyone realized who he was, a lot of people that knew Cheyenne knew but not everyone. It had been a great night that they all needed before they went there separate ways. Cheyenne said goodnight to everyone as she made her way to her room . BGwalked her to the door and asked if he could come in Cheyenne stepped aside and let him in. They sat down on the couch propped in opposite corners, facing each other andCheyenne asks BG what's on his mind. He told her that he hates leaving her but that he would talk to her everyday and if she ever needed him to just let him know. She just grinned at him and told him that she knew that he didn't have to tell her that. Cheyenne tells him that she is going to go back to work since school only has 5 weeks til summer break that way she isn't home alone all day and night. She plans on keeping busy watching Ace play ball and run track. BG told her he expected daily updates on his godson she grinned and said of course but I'm sure he will tell you himself how the rest of the season goes. Cheyenne tells BG that she plans on getting a tattoo when she figures out where she wants it. BG grins and told her she was turning into a hell raiser. Cheyenne reminds him that she has always wanted one and had planned on doing it on her 50th birthday but now just made her realize to live in the moment and not plan on a future. BG told her that if she waited until she came out to Georgia that he would have his guy come to his house and do it for her. So they made a plan. It was late and they said goodnight. Tomorrow would be another long day for them.
