Chapter 73

After the concert that night it was almost midnight when they got back to the bus area since they were the last ones performing . Cheyenne was tired but keyed up at the same time. When they turned the corner they saw that someone had set up a fire pit and a party of country music singers was happening. BG said do you want to join in or not? She said sure I don't care. Let's go get changed first and then we will come back. That sounds great these shoes are not comfortable. He laughs, picks her up and throws her over his shoulder and heads to the bus. He hears a shout Brantley Keith you put her down right now! I know she's hot and you want to go screw her brains out but you have to share! He stopped and turned around  everyone was looking at him. He sat Cheyenne on the ground and said Hell Miranda if you wanted in on the action all you had to do was ask instead of calling me out in front of everyone.  Cheyenne looked at both of them and said My Lord I can't take y'all two anywhere without causing a scene. Y'all are like two kids fighting over candy. At that moment Kenny walked up and said Now I see what the talk is about with this one. She's a breath of fresh air. Cheyenne has her mouth open and is standing there looking at her favorite singer. He walks up and says hi I'm Kenny and I'm glad to finally meet you since everyone has been talking about you. Cheyenne shook his hand and said I'm glad to meet you to, my name is Cheyenne McCoy and I just want to say your music is amazing. Yes I am a big fan. He grinned and said after your performance tonight I can say the feeling is mutual. BG and Kenny did the bro hug thing and Miranda hugged Cheyenne. Where are y'all going? BG said we were going to change and come back and since her feet were hurting I just picked her up and was carrying her.  Miranda said okay go change and come back we want to talk. They got to the bus and BG took a really quick shower while Cheyenne changed into her white University of Alabama tank top and her crimson Nike shorts and flip flops. BG comes out in his black Nike track pants and his University of Georgia tshirt. They head back to the fire pit carrying their red cups of sweet tea. They say hello to everyone and head toward Miranda and Kenny. They sit down and Miranda says we will find your dress tomorrow I promise girl. Kenny asks what dress and Miranda  said her wedding dress of course. Kenny said yeah I heard your interview the other morning girl and you handled him well, BG have any back lash? Nah man they knew we could sue them for harrassment . Miranda said get over here so we can take pictures. They all take a pictures and Cheyenne gets one with her and Kenny and sends it to the kids. She tells him about how she became a fan due to Ellie when she was little. He got a lockout of it and then several other people come up and they start telling stories. Luke walks up and Miranda asks him if he's placed anymore bets and laughs. Luke told her no I haven't. BG just laughs at him and Luke hits him in the back of the head and said its your fault BG. Not my fault that Chey can't resist me. She blushes when he said that. Miranda fills Kenny in on the story and he laughs at Luke and he says never bet against a country woman.  Cheyenne's phone rings and they all look cause it plays the Alabama fight song. She answers cause it is Ellie.
C- Hey baby girl what's up?
E- Mom did you get up close and personal with Kenny?
C- Yes I am did you not get my picture
E- Yes I got it and me and Claire are so jealous. Tell him he rocks momma and why did he go play a concert at the cow pasture for?
C- laughing I am not gonna do that Ellie,
E- get his number and I will tell him.
C- Ellie did you need anything besides to grill me about meeting Kenny?
E- no that's all I called about
Cheyenne turns it on speaker phone at this time.
C- why did you call to grill me
E- cause we really want to know why he went to the cow pasture to put on a concert? It's a freaking cow pasture and everybody knows that Ttown is the best place in the state of Alabama. Now are you gonna ask him or do I have to?
Kenny- hey Ellie I went there because that is what my people worked out and you are right it's in the middle of a cow pasture.
E- mother I know you did not put me on speaker phone with him right there.
K- yeah she did sweetie and I love talking to my fans and I think you and I will become friends since I'm sure that we will be around the same places. The only thing we will never agree on is what football team to root for. Go Vols!
E- yeah you got bad tastes there Kenny everyone knows that Roll Tide is best. And like my mama taught me I ain't wearing that gaudy orange color. So we will have to agree to disagree on that.
C- that's right Roll tide baby!
K- okay sounds good  doll can't wait to meet you!
C- is that all Ellie
E- yeah momma I love you and see you next week!
C- I love you too baby girl!

Kenny is still laughing and says she takes football serious huh. Cheyenne said yeah she does now but could really have cared less till she got down there and she caught the bug. I see you are a fan? Cheyenne said yeah I have always been a fan. But when they pay for her education it helps the cause. He said she's on scholarship and Cheyenne says yeah she has presidential scholarship studying chemical engineering. And Sierra is there studying communicative disorders. And possible that my youngest will be there in another year. Kenny says gaudy orange huh? Yeah Cheyenne answers. Luke says what about them Dawgs and BG grins. Cheyenne said yeah what about them I believe the Tide rolled over them didn't they? Also Luke I do believe you made the UA snapchat in the spring for 2 days correct?
BG you need to corral  your woman's mouth Luke said. BG said I know you didn't go there buddy, Cheyenne got up and got in front of Luke and said I don't think BG needs to do anything but tell his buddy that if he has a problem with his woman to take it up with her. I can't help that you can't take a little ribbing about your football team however my advice is don't dish it out if you can't take it. Need I remind you Luke of the video you were shown? He was a much bigger guy than you.
Luke holds up his hands and says I'm sorry Cheyenne I didn't mean anything by it I promise. She says okay then just remember that B may fight my battles for me but that doesn't mean he has to its because he wants to and  I let him.
Kenny looks at Miranda and says she's a spitfire and I like it. You and Carrie need more like her. Miranda grins and says I know right. Miranda asks what time you want to go in the morning ? How about 9? Cheyenne said that sounds good to me.  It was great meeting you Kenny but if you all will excuse me I am gonna call it a night. BG starts to get up and she looks at him and said its okay if you want to stay and talk babe I don't care . He stands up and pulls her in for a kiss and tells her he will be in a little bit. 
Kenny asks BG if she makes him happy and BG tells him yeah man I'm one lucky guy. I don't deserve her at all. Kenny says I like her she fits in and can hold her own with everyone and that's not an easy thing with all our big personalities. BG says I know it's amazing to watch. Kenny said I caught her part of your show and son I understand when they say you feel like you need a cigarette. Man the chemistry between y'all it is something you can see but the thing is I watched that video and it hasn't always been there. I mean I saw love in both your eyes in every picture but there wasn't a sexual look in half of them. BG said well that is because half of them were taken when we were just friends. That is what I want people to see man. BG's phone beeps and he sees its a message from Cheyenne. He opens it and it is a picture of her in their bed with the caption I'm waiting for you. BG types back touch yourself till I get there darlin.  He puts his phone up and sits just a minute more and then tells everyone goodnight and he would see them tomorrow.
