Through it All

Chapter 69

Cheyenne comes off the bus dressed in her same jeans with her black Harley tank top her motorcycle boots toting her leather jacket. BG was talking to the crew leaning against the bike. He smiles as soon as he spots her. She grins walks over and tells them all bye before climbing on and putting her helmet on. They take off letting the cares of the day just wash away with the miles behind them.

BG gets to the place he had searched out this morning . They get off the bike and he takes her hand and leads her to a clearing that has a stream with a waterfall. He places the blanket on the ground next to a tree and he sits down pulling her with him. They take off their jackets and BG leans up against the tree and she sits between his legs leaned back. As he places his arms around her it causes the tears to fall. BG pulls her close and whispers I'm right here baby you are safe so just let it go. I am so sorry that he said that to you today. You were great you handled everything like a pro. I am so proud of you but at the same time I am so sorry that we lost Robert. I do miss him everyday and I know you do too. I wanted that kind of love y'all had I just didn't want it this way. If I could change it baby I would. I promise you that I will love you through the sad days we have just as much if not more than the happy days we have.

Cheyenne turns to face BG and looks in his eyes and tells him I love you so much B. Today is hard I don't know why I'm just hurting missing him and then the radio station just made it sound like I was a tramp. That I only wanted you for your money and that we were having an affair. I don't want to hurt your name and if I start then I'm packing up and going home. You have worked to hard for me to ruin it by being on the road with you. I know you miss him too and I don't think you have grieved for that loss cause you have been the rock for me and the glue that held me together. So I want you to know however you need to grieve that it will be okay with me. I will be here baby. Let me hold you and comfort you. We can do this together so forget I said anything about going home I'm not gonna let ignorant people dictate my life. Thank you for being here for knowing just what I needed today when I wasn't sure myself.  You make me happy B just being here with me. She hugged him and held him and he let the tears come that he had been holding back for so long. She moved so he laid his head on her chest and she held him while the sobs racked his body and she cried for the man she loved and the friend he lost . She cried cause he had lost his best friend and his wife within a week and how no one had been there for him to comfort him when he needed it most.

They laid like that for such a long time in each other's arms just taking time to hold each other. B raised up and said we are gonna have to head back to make it to sound check. She sits up and said okay but I will probably sound like crap from crying so much and I look like crap too.  He kisses her and said you are beautiful to me baby. She smiles at him and tells him I love you. He kisses her again and said I love you now get a move on woman.  They get up and get to the bike and he tells her one of these days I'm gonna bend you over my bike and fuck you senseless. She grins at him and says promises promises baby. He said if I had time I would do it right now but we are gonna have to go straight to sound check as it is now. As she settles behind him and rubs her hands up his thighs and grabs his crotch she tells him that she fantasizes about that same thing so whenever he's ready she's ready. He growls into the mike on his helmet and tells her she's gonna be the death of him. And off they go back to reality.

As they walk up the band is already playing  and doing their thing. BG finds his mic and hands Cheyenne hers. They play hurts so good and when Cheyenne comes in on her part it's off  and she drops her head. BG puts a finger under her chin and lifts it up and says it's okay you can do this just look at me. Lean on me today darlin, let me help you make it through it. She nods her head and BG said okay again guys. They get through the song and do Let it Ride. And he holds her hand so she will stay with him and he runs through Read me my rights and calls a wrap. It's 5:00pm so they head to catering to eat and Cheyenne tells BG that she is gonna head to the bus to rest a little before she has to get ready for him to stay and eat. He kisses her bye and sends PJto take her to the bus. They guys wait till they are sitting down and then they ask BG what the hell did you do to her? She has been crying and is a wreck, she wasn't like this when Robert passed away so what have you done. BG looked at them and said she's just having a bad day. She's hurting and the radio station this morning just made a bad day worse. I took her to a place and let her cry it out. She can't stand for people to see her cry. She wants to be tough and strong for every one and sometimes it gets to be too much. Ben said how about we all go out after the show since we don't leave till morning? Maybe help her laugh at our dumb asses? BG said okay you guys ask her tonight and I will see y'all later as he heads to the bus.
When he gets on the bus he finds that she is asleep. He lays down beside her and sets his alarm for 6:30 so she will have time to get ready. He holds her close and makes her the promise that he will always be there for her just like she has been for him.
