Through it All

Chapter 38

BG goes up and knocks on Cheyenne's door and she comes and opens it. He just stops and looks at her then he takes her hand and spins her around. He has a full smile on his face and pulls her in for a kiss and tells her not to make him go to jail for beating someones ass tonight because she is hot and the guys will be hitting on her. Cheyenne laughs at him and kisses him back and says I guess we will both be in jail because you are looking hot tonight B. That makes him laugh and they head downstairs and outside to welcome people to the party as they come.

To start off the party they have music playing from an iPod hooked to speakers until after they eat. Tim and Faith come in with Luke and Caroline. FGL Brian and Tyler come in and shout where the party? !  Then Jason and Brittany arrive and BG's manager and someone was with him that Cheyenne didn't know. Introductions were made and as BG for everyone's attention and thanked them all for coming and that after everyone ate then the live music would start with some special surprises throughout the night. And that the dance floor was open to all at any time. Of course Kolby yelled out its open to everyone but you BG we all know you can't dance. Everyone laughed and BG said we will see about that buddy. BG got off the stage and made his way to Cheyenne, he just can't stay away from her. They haven't told anyone what they have decided and just gonna wait and see how long it takes them to figure it out. Cheyenne is talking to Liz who is Colts mom and her best friend. On the way over BG can tell that something is wrong and tries to make his way but is stopped by several different people and has to talk. He looks for Ben or Kolby and finally spots Ben. He gets his attention and motions his head to Cheyenne. Ben nods and heads to Cheyenne as he is walking up he hears Liz tell Cheyenne that she is spitting on Roberts memory by having a party and living a life of sin by hanging out with BG. That Robert would be ashamed of her and the way she was acting like a two dollar whore. Cheyenne looks like she is about to cry and Ben gets angry. He calls Cheyenne's name and she turns to him and he tells her that the kids needed her in the house. Cheyenne thanks him and heads to the house and Ben looks at Liz and tells her that if she can't be supportive of Cheyenne that she needs to leave and if he ever hears her telling Cheyenne that she was a two dollar whore he would be sure to tell Colt and Sierra and see how they liked that. Ben tells her that she better apologize to Cheyenne and to do it by text because she wasn't welcome at the party anymore. Ben lets Liz leave and then looks at BG and motions that he needs to go to the house. Ben walked in the house and found Cheyenne standing looking at a picture of Robert her and BG . She glances at Ben and tells him thank you for the save out there. Ben tells her no problem I told you that I was here for you anytime for anything. Cheyenne tells Ben that she is hurt that Liz said that but that she knows Robert would be proud of her and the kids for moving on with their lives. She puts the picture down hugs Ben and tells him that they have a party to attend and a song to debut. Ben says yes we do and if we don't get back out there BG would come looking and kick his but for being with his woman. Cheyenne laughs and tells Ben that he probably would. BG was outside about to come in when he heard their conversation so he turns with a smile on his face in amazement of how strong Cheyenne continues to be.

Florida Georgia Line starts off the music with Cruise and that gets everyone in a good mood and dancing. Cheyenne is standing at the edge looking around watching how her friends and family from all worlds are having a good time. There were a few fangirl moments for some and it was fun to see that. She spots Kolby and Claire on the dance floor along with Colt and Sierra and Brody and Ellie. She looks around for Ace and she finally spots him with a group of his friends dancing. It is good to see her kids happy and having a good time. Jason has been singing for the last little bit and he is calling for BG now to come join him to do Dirt Road Anthem. Jake and his wife Jeanette come up and tell her thanks for inviting them that they have had a great time. Cheyenne asks if they are leaving they tell her they are getting ready to. Cheyenne asks them to wait just a few more minutes and they agree.

Jason and BG have finished their song and BG stays up there and calls for the crowds attention. BG says " I want to say thank you to everyone that has come out tonight to be with Cheyenne and her family. This was a way for them to thank you all for your love and support during some of the darkest days they have ever had to face. Cheyenne talks about how y'all have been there for her and the kids and she wanted to do something to say thank you. The girls came up with this idea and asked if I could help pull it off because until this morning Cheyenne had no idea it was happening. Also many of you know that I have been through my own dark time at the same time and you all have been my support as well, so thank you for accepting me into your community. Now my label has been after me for some time to do a duet with a female singer and told me on the next album I didn't have a choice. So I have been working on the album and came across who I wanted to sing with and tonight y'all are going to get a preview of the album and my new co-star. So will you all please give my new duet partner a welcome as she makes her way to the stage. The crowd claps and look at Faith but she's not moving then they look at BG he's looking at Cheyenne as she makes her was to the stage. BG goes to get the extra mike for her as she steps on stage, until Ben grabs a mike and says wait just a minute. BG looks at him as he comes from behind the drum set and Ben continues "Cheyenne come here just a second" she walks to Ben and looks at him confused. Ben continues saying "we all agreed that since you have recorded with us and will be touring with us some that you should have your own mike. So from all of us in the band here's your own mike you will just have to hide it to keep BG from taking it" Cheyenne opens the box and busts out laughing she has a mike like BG's only instead of camo it is pink jewels with brass knuckles. Ben looks at BG and says now you can't have her mike so don't try and play nice up here boss. BG just smirks at Ben and says get back behind your drums so we can get this party started. BG looks at Cheyenne and places his arm around her shoulders and whispers in her ear are you ready to do this? She just nods at him as the music starts. They sing the song "hurts so bad" and everyone goes crazy when they hear how they sound together. They are having fun on stage and you can see it in there faces. BG says " this next song is about a memory of mine from when I was a teenager and it's a good one, I have done this song on another album but we decided that it would sound good as a duet. The thing about it as most of you know Cheyenne is that one of her favorite sayings when she doesn't know what to do and you have asked her for advice is ..... the whole crowd yells out " let it ride" BG just grins and says that's right and she has said that before the song and before me. So I felt like it was only fitting that she be the one who sings with me."
