Yunho had to will his tears away as he stared at Jaejoong's ashen face. He'd grown paler and thinner ever since he's first admitted to the hospital but that's because he could no longer consume food the further along he is into the pregnancy. All his nutrients and needs are injected into him for every eighth hour apart from the consistent use of IV drips. Starting last week, Jaejoong can't even move his body anymore except for his fingers and facial muscles. At that time, no matter how scared and worried Yunho was, Jaejoong would always manage to ease his fear a little with his constant smiles. But now... His beloved's no longer smiling. It made his sunken cheek more prominent, his sullen eyes more obvious and his bony self terrifying. Yunho's truly made aware of how weak Jaejoong actually is. It's a painful sight for him to bear. Yunho's not bothered to look at them to determine which doctor responded. He's too terrified to look away from Jaejoong in case he'll miss something. A twitch of his eyes, perhaps? Anything at all. "He's aware of what he need to do to keep the baby."

"But he's not waking up?" Yunho can't help how vulnerable he sounded right now. He came straight from work like every other weekdays to see his Jaejoong only to be told his beloved had fallen into a self preserving sleep. He's not exactly sure what it meant. All he knew was no matter how many times he begged Jaejoong, the man won't respond. I'm not even asking him to open his eyes... I just want a sign. A sign... That's all.

"Yes." Another one piqued. This time, the only female doctor who came from Finland. "The males with m-preg gene are very gifted, Mr Jung. They have a way of protecting themselves and the baby they're carrying. In our opinion, his body can no longer sustain the baby consciously thus inducing the sleep in order to lessen his strain. After all, he need to protect the baby for at least a week more before we could safely perform the surgery."

Yunho's not a doctor but he could at least comprehend the fact that Jaejoong's still fighting for their baby. Our Angel... "Is there- Is there anything I can do?"

"Even though he's sleeping, he can hear you Mr Jung." Doctor Lee assured. "He's aware of everything that happened and said to him. He's likely unable to respond because he need to reduce his burden but he can understand, Mr Jung. So the best you can do for him right now is to show your support and presence. Even though Mr Kim is handling his pregnancy very well, it will get harder in a few days. We need to make sure he can sustain the baby for as long as possible so that everything's not going to be in vain."

In other words, we can still lose the baby and Jaejoong. Yunho wanted to cry. It's not fair. You promised, Jaejoong.
