Bruce watched as Y/N take out some drug lords.

Her graceful movements mesmerized him every time.

In the end, the drug lords layer in the ground, passed out. Y/N stood there, smiling, not breaking a sweat.

Sirens echoed in the distance.

"That's our cue." Bruce said, jumping into his batmobile.

Y/N grinned and flew up, towards the bat cave.

Y/N arrived first, as usual, looking at the large screen that tracked criminals.

"I call dibs!" She yelled, pointing at the large gang, then flying away.

Bruce could help but smile a little bit,  watching her disappear.

Bruce watched from the hacked city camera's.

Y/N appeared and tackled the leader, being her reckless self.

When she took out all of the gang members, a shadow appeared behind her.

The camera went static.

Panic ran through Bruce and he got into his batmobile and ran to her.

When he got there, Y/N, the gang and victim were gone. All traces of a fight vanished.

Crap, crap, crap

Bruce circled the area around the crime scene, looking for blue but got nothing.

Except.

Her mask.

.•*•.

Bruce spent weeks, looking for Y/N.

And when he traced all the clues together and it traced back to a old warehouse.

Why is it always a warehouse?

Bruce sneaked in through the vents and looked around.

He heard a couple voices, some laughing.

When he arrived at where the sound came from, he found Y/N strapped to a chair, locked in a cell.

She looked bruised with some cuts.

Anger crawled up Bruce's heart.

Bruce and Y/N were friends since childhood. She was there to comfort him when his parents died and was there when he did everything.

She was always there to guide him out of the dark.

And he was always there to protect her.

But today, he failed.

Bruce knocked out the guards.

Y/N looked up, totally calm and smiled at him.

"Took you long enough to find me," She scoffed, "I always told you to check old warehouses."

Bruce grunted as he knocked out some more guards.

"Why did you-" He paused as he punch the last guard. "Escape yet?"

"I need the keys, duh." She said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Speaking of keys, where is it?"

"The boss guy has it, Honestly, doesn't our childhood years of playing video games taught you anything?"

Bruce cracked a smile, "I forgot."

Y/N smiled and rolled her eyes, "That's why I'm here."

Bruce explored the warehouse, looking for the boss guy.

"Hurry up, Wayne!" Y/N complained, "I haven't ate anything good for 3 hours!"

"You want to go to McDonalds after?" He asked.

"Like a date?" She joked.

Bruce was about to say no, but then paused. "Yeah."

There was a silence after he said that.

"You're a master of awkward silences aren't you?" She said,

"I'm not joking."

Bruce looked at Y/N, who was blushing. Even in the dimly lit room, he could see that she was uncomfortable.

"Godamnit, Bruce, I wasn't prepared for this."

Bruce spotted something shiny in the corner of his eyes.

Suddenly, he heard foot steps and a car engine.

Y/N looked at Bruce, alarmed.

"Hide!" She hissed.

Bruce slipped behind a bar and held his breath.

The sound of doors closing and footsteps echoed in the room.

"Where are all the guards?" A man barked.

He opened the cage and grabbed Y/N roughly by her shirt.

"Now, princess, tell me and you won't get a new scar."

Fear and anger coursed through Bruce.

Y/N glanced at Bruce and nodded.

The boss guy looked at his direction, but he was too slow.

Bruce knocked the boss down and his henchmen.

"Wait," Bruce said, patting his pockets for keys. "He doesn't have the keys."

"Dumbass, the doors open."

"Oh... Right." Bruce said, awkwardly.

"Honestly, how are you a CEO?"

She broke the ropes already and rubbed her red wrist.

"Let's go." She said, flying already.

When he got home, Y/N was eating a whole buffet.

"I thought we were getting McDonalds." He said, changing out of his suit.

"Oh, yeah..." She smiled and got up, wiping her hands on a napkin. "Let's go!"
