"Save me."
The warm breath clashed with the cold air. Her hair whipped, slashing her flesh.
"Please!"
Tears poured out of her eyes. Her lungs started to close up as her chest pained.
"Please!" Her mouth let out a sob. "I beg you!"
"I'm trying!" He said, reaching out to grab her.
But her bare foot hung over the cliff. The waiting ocean sat below, hungrily. And it was there. Waiting for her to drop. Then, he was going to devour her up, drowning her up with sorrow.
"I-I won't make it! Help!" She screamed.
Her throat was raw and ripped.
"I'm trying!"
Then, the rock holding her was ripped away from the earth. The ocean smiled, holding out his arms to catch her.
"Bruce!"
The waved grabbed her and pulls her in.
And there was the people around her, waking and not noticing her. Banging against the ice, she tried to reach out but they walked by.
It was cold. It was frozen. It was horrible.
A sob escaped through her parted mouth as she realized the state she was
in.There was no escape.
"Bruce!" She tried again, sobbing.
A year slipped out of her eyes as she fell limp to the floor.
This was it.
"Bruce!"
She sat up, gasping.
The bedroom was cold, and empty. The space beside her was empty. Everything was hollow. The room was bare. She was hollow. She was bare.
Stripped away from her freedom and her happiness. The scratching throat choked her.
"Bruce..." Y/N wrapped her cold fingers around her cold biceps.
He wasn't there though.
Sobs escaped her. She was truly alone. Everything rejected her. Even the warmth.
Her breath rose up to hills of a ride, bumpy and shaky.
Thoughts raced her as sweat escaped through her skin. Her e/c eyes wee wide as she tried to snap herself out of the nightmare.
Her throat was closing up as she still felt her dry mouth suffocating her.
No one was here. Everything she did was coming back to haunt her. She knew it.
Everything was gone. Her friends. Wait, she didn't have any. Every single one of them were gold diggers.
Wiping away her tears, she calmed her shaky breath. Practicing on a tall smile, she slipped on her slippers as she walked down the empty fancy hall.
Walking over to the wine cabinet, she poured herself a glass of wine. Sipping, she took a deep breath.
It wasn't before long that the bottle was empty like the many others before it. She grinned, the bottle brought her memories.
Last night.
Or this night.
She was the bottle.
Wait. It isn't right yet.
The perfectly smooth glass cracked against the table as she smiled.
Grabbing a sharp glass, she slid it across her skin, releasing the velvet rich blood.
It felt numb as her ran her clean finger across the cut.
The finger was clean, not dirty. Tainted.
Why was she doing this? Anxiety swarmed her.
She was doing this because she is alone. Gone, hollow, nothing. She didn't matter.
Hell, even her husband was gone most of the night. Probably with a girl.
What happened to them? They were happy, they were perfect. But then marriage happened and he was gone more than ever.
Saying that she didn't understand and to trust him. And she did. But it didn't stop the thoughts.
Her son was at his friend. Alfred was out. Everyone was out.
Gone.
Nothing in her life was right. Nothing followed any agenda. It was all a mess.
And she couldn't bear to leave.
Because a little part of her hopes that things will go back to what it was.
But until then, she'll just drown out her sorrow with pain and a little alcohol to help.
