It's a little fun, and fluffy.______
Alex considered leaving. He didn't really wanted to stay at the newly made school for gifted youngsters. Alex wanted to visit his younger brother, who just graduated Middle school. But Alex knew that his place wasn't back home with the normals.
So he would continue to stay at the academy and send lettered to his little brother.
Alex kept his face in a constant frown as he gripped the bottom of the cardboard box full of mini white boards that just came in. Charles had a habit of buying useless school supplies.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a group of younger girl students. When he actually met sir gaze, their cheeks burned a apple red before rushing off to their classes.
Alex was used to this. He didn't actually pay attention to them until Hank brought it up. Hank wouldn't admit this, but Alex could tell he was kinda jealous of the attention.
But he would never be attracted to them. They were girly and giggly. He never understood why girls giggled to much. It irked him but he learned to brush it off. Alex would always be more attracted to girls who had attitude and actual personality.
He went back to hauling the other extra supplies. Running his fingers through his hair after he finished his work. His golden hair had grown longer and brushed the bottom of his earlobes.
"Excuse me," a hesitant voice said behind him.
Alex turned around and saw a girl who was, he guessed, was around his age. Her h/c hair fell in strands around her while her e/c eyes burned into his own icy blue eyes.
"But do you know where Alex Summers is?" She asked.
"That's me." Alex said.
She was pretty but in more of cute way. Her white shirt was very casual against her creamy skin and contrasted against her ripped shorts.
"Professor said you had the new pencils and whiteboard markers?" Her eyes scanned boxes behind him.
"Yeah, but I don't know where they are—hold on, I'm gonna check." He turned around and quickly read the labels for the boxes but found it was all white boards and the markers that came along. There was no pencils.
"Did you find it?" She asked. Alex saw that she was also looking.
"I didn't find the pencils." He said.
"That can't be right." She pulled out a strip of paper. It was a receipt. "It says here that they should be here, Charles even paid for it."
"So, what now?" He asked, checking one last time.
"We stop the truck, duh." She smiled, rolling her eyes like it was a casual thing that they did.
"What?" Alex asked.
"We intercept the cheaters and beat their ass if we don't find the pencils." It was weird hearing her sweet voice said so vulgar things. "Because I'm not going to just let Charles pay $1,304.50 just for it to be gone."
"It's just pencils!" Alex protested, against the idea.
"Yeah! $1,304.50 of pencils." She clarified.
"There's whiteboards too." He pointed out.
She ignored him and ran to the nearest window and glanced out. The truck just left and was rolling out of the drive. Alex watched as she ran to the nearest door.
"Come on!" She hissed.
Alex watched as she darted across the garden, and jumping a small fence also that was the same height as her. From her wrist a glowing f/c string shot out and launched her over the fence. He gaped as she swung across the garden.
Sighing, he muttered "I'm going to regret this." Before going after her.
When he finally reached her, she was on the tail of the truck. He didn't know how but she managed to tie the string on the side and launched herself on to the truck.
And as all for a box of pencils.
Before he realized, she wrapped the f/c rope around his waist and dragged him over to her.
"How are you doing this?!" He asked, surprised as the rope picked her up with no trouble.
"Mutant, remember?" She yelled back over the whipping wind. Pulling the trucks back open, she stepped in. "What's yours?"
"It's too dangerous to use in a stupid chase like this." Alex said, shaking his head.
She snorted. "Excuse me, this is important."
She searched the truck for the box. There was a small window that looking into the drivers seat. He watched as the driver turned around and did a double take, watching them in horror.
She picked up a box with a her rope and met the drivers gaze. Shoving the box into Alex's arms, she winked at the driver before saluting him and slinging them away.
When they arrived back on campus, Alex could almost kiss the ground. His hair was messy from the swinging. A horrified look was frozen on his face while the crazy girl grinned proudly.
"This was insane." He muttered.
"I just realized I haven't introduced myself, my name is Y/N." And just like that, she looked innocent. Her hair was somehow still perfect even while wind blown. "I'll see you around." She rested the boxes on her hips before walking away.
Alex made a mental note to never talk to her again. But little does he know that she would steal his heart and never give it back, and that today was just the first step.
