When he met Y/N, she was blinding.
She was that ride in the carnival or theme park that no one dared to ride.
Her flashing smiles and her h/c hair was perfect, not a strand out of place. Y/N's soft hand that shook his coaxed him to join the line of people waiting to have a chance with her.
And Bruce did.
He joined the long line of people, waiting excitedly for their chance.
Except he shouldn't be on this ride. He shouldn't be in the carnival.
Yet there she was, smiling and sending butterflies and goosebumps on his body by just standing there.
Her eyes where soft and deep as she took his hand and said, "Just take my hand." When she told him to relax.
Bruce didn't even know he was on the line of the magical ride that Y/N held when he took her hand.
She led him to the fire place of Tony's tower and curled up by the fire, drinking hot coffee and her rambling away.
Sometimes he'd just watch her mouth as she rambled about some useless topic.
And when he finally realized he was on the ride, he quickly looks for an escape. But it was too late, the ride had started.
The kind if ride that would leave you in shock, broken or breathless.
It was scary, exhilarating yet fun and fast paced.
Everyone knew he was on the ride, watching him in pity as it tossed his emotions around like a football.
And when he had a chance to exit, for some reason, he stayed.
Maybe it was her sad eyes as he was making the decision. And when he stayed, her eyes where joyous, making him think that it was the right choice.
Oh how wrong he was.
And here he is now.
Still on the ride when she said yes to a man she loved,
That was not him.
And now he is here forever, on the meaningless ride that would lead nowhere as he watched in pain as his ride fall apart around him,
Burying him in his grave.
