This is from the inspiration of soulmates and imprints.

I put down this idea because I'm pretty sure most of you guys read the famous Marvel Imagines.
I loved all her 3 books and her concept of how she did her series of soulmates Oneshots.
And I felt like I was copying her if I did this.

But now, fuck everything.
Got a problem with it? Screw off.

Anyway... Enjoy! Comment if you want another one of a different person.

Clark looked down at the numbers counting down to on his wrist.

When he was a toddler, he would always ask ma what they meant.

And she would always give the same answer.

"The day you met the person." She said, paired with a smile.

"Who?" Clark asked.

"For the one. The one that would make you believe in love." Ma had a distant look in her eyes when she said that, looking at Pa.

Clark noticed that they didn't have numbers on their wrist.

When Ma explained the numbers, Clark made it his personal mission to find him or her.

To this day, even when he's a adult, even when he's dying inside, he's still waiting.

Now, he was in his bed, late at night.

Everything in his apartment was still and he was tracing his finger over the mark on his wrist.

00:06:24:14...

00:06:24:15...

Clark was anxiously waiting for 6 hours to pass, glancing at his flashing red clock on his nightstand.

The skin under his fingertips continued counting as Clark laid in bed, thoughts running in his mind.

What if they hate him?

Is that even possible?

How would they react to him being superman?

Is it a guy or a girl?

Clark rolled over, staring out his window, into the flashing city lights. The cars in the distance made slight noises as the streaks of light pink made its way across the sky at 4 am.

He was ready.

He's been ready for years.

He held out on dating, kissing some people, but never taking any relationship serious. Why date when it's not going to last?

Thoughts raced his mind as he ran his finger through his messed up jet black hair. Clark's body was tense under the covers.

He asked people what it felt like. What it felt like when you meet the one.

They told him that it was a amazing. Everything fell in place, they told him, that everything was complete and that they complete you. They gave you something to fight for, that they would be your gravity.

Gravity. They used the word gravity a lot.

He knew some people didn't believe in the idea, but he did. His naive hope made him believe. Believe that there was someone out there that accepted him for who he was.

Clark got out of bed, trying not to shake because of the thought that everything was going to happen today.

His electric blue eyes glanced at the numbers on his wrist again, mentally estimating what time he would meet this someone.

If it went by his usual schedule. He would meet this someone around the time he was at the cafe to pick up his usual breakfast.

And here he was.

In the cafe, nervously ordering.

The barista saw the numbers and gave him a sly wink.

Clark fumbled for change as he handed the guy and nodded, smiling thanks for the good luck.

He took his seat on the chair in the corner, trying not to glance at the numbers as he ate his bagel.

Calm down, everything is going to be fine.

Be smooth.

Clark took a chance to look at his numbers.

Clark felt his eyes widen to the size of golf balls as he glanced up to meet stunning e/c eyes.

He felt the coffee cafe noise and chatter drone out as he stared at the girl. She had messy h/c hair that looked so soft, she wore a cream sweater with black jeans and maroon red vans.

Everything feel so surreal, like this was a fairytale. If he was walking, he was sure to trip over anything. Clark tried to calm his erratically dancing heart as he attempted to calm his breathing as well.

His head felt dizzy, as if she was the sun, to bright and giving him life by just doing nothing. An overwhelming urge told him he should sweep her off her feet and just kiss her right there and now.

Clark almost spit out his coffee.

"Uh—may I sit here?" She asked, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "It's all full."

The room was indeed full.

Clark swallowed his burning hot coffee as he burning his throat, struggling to speak.

"Sure—yeah. Yeah, you can sit here." He quickly said, getting up and bumping his chest into the table, causing bagel crumbs to fall on his lap.

Smooth.

She glanced at the number on her wrist and looked back up at Clark. Her perfect showed lips fell open.

"Wait—" she glanced back at her wrist. "You're—"

"Yeah," he finished. "I hope I'm not a disappointment." He chuckled nervously. He brushed off his bagel crumbs from the embarrassing moment that just happened earlier.

"No—I just, um, I... Wow." She said. Her eyes stared at him, making him uncomfortable under her gaze.

"Yeah." He sent a nervous smile. "Clark. Clark Kent." He offered a hand.

"Y/N, Y/N L/N." She said, breathless.

When their heads touched, they both felt the jolt as they sent smiled, shyly, at each other.
