Tim glanced at the numbers that marked his wrist, frowning as the timer counted down.

00:00:06:24

Bruce told him, earlier, that he should at least prepare for the special someone.

Tim just waved it off. He never believed that this special someone or soulmate as they called it.

To Tim, it just seemed ridiculous.

Why would you need someone to save you? Who do you even need this person? Does it even matter? It was stupid, everyone that met their soulmate was always revolving their world are this other person. Tim didn't want that.

In less than six minutes, he would meet the love of his life.

And here he was, in the library, using the Internet to study up on his knowledge on literature.

He always hated reading, but Bruce forced them out of the house.

Damien and Dick where across the library as they read on their studies.

They teased him about this special someone. Jason already found his and said it would change everything.

Tim had doubts.

He let out a sigh as he pulled his sleeve to cover the numbers.

Part of him wanted this, wanted someone to love. As hopeless as it seems, Tim wanted to live in this fairy tail everyone told him was amazing, at the same time, he didn't.

He hated those fairy tails, he wanted some challenge.

After trying to understand Shakespeare for the last minute, he decided to stop, exiting the tab, he got up.

As his eyes swept the room, he saw a h/c haired girl sitting in a desk alone, wearing a plain grey hoodie, buried in a stack of books. Tim saw she glanced at the numbers on her wrist and scoffed.

It just so happens she looked up at the same time Tim met her e/c eyes.

The library seemed to be filled with his heart pumping faster as they met, butterflies filled his chest as he gasped and choked on air. He almost tripped by standing still.

His cough echoed through the library as his cheeks became inflamed.

Tim had a sudden urge to impress her, to show her that he was worth it.

Her e/c eyes seemed amused as Tim tried to stop coughing on his spit and calm his reddening cheeks.

Her head tilted to a side as his head showered her in compliments, yelling for him to go over and introduce himself to sweep her off her feet.

And so he did.

Not sweeping her off her feet, but introducing himself rather awkwardly.

"Um, so... You're my soulmate." He muttered out.

She glanced at her wrist, smirking a little mischievously.

"It seems so." She said.

"My name is Tim, Tim Drake." He held out his hand.

"Y/N, Y/N L/N." She said, not shaking his hand.

Tim retreated his hand quickly, trying to hide his embarrassment.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, looking around the library to see Damien and Dick with amused expressions on their faces and a phone recording everything. Tim made a mental note to slap them later.

"Well, I'm here to study." She said, glancing at her textbook in front of her.

"So... Um, can—" he started.

"You're so awkward, it's killing me." She bluntly stated, she slid a piece of paper across the desk. "Here's my number," she sent him a wink, "Call me."

Then, she got up, revealing ripped black jeans and combat boots.

Tim realized that this girl was not a bookworm that he made out to be.

She was a bold person. She had attitude, and want going to give him the relationship that easily.

His eyes followed her as she left, her confident strides entranced him.

Y/N was a teaser, she wasn't a promised fairy tail they talked about.

And strangely, Tim liked that.
