She was done with everything and everyone. Everyone was just getting on nerves and she felt like she could snap the next person who tried messing with her.

Y/N fiddled with her headphone wire as she made her way back home from school. She decided to walk home today because she wasn't in the mood to deal with the rude people on the bus.

Cars whizzed past her, but she didn't hear anything because her music drowned out the sounds. The sun beaten down on her back as she walked.

Her eyes were glued on the ground, while her mind wandered off into space. She didn't even notice anything around her until she saw a shadow quickly approaching and overlapping her shadow. It's arms flailed, obviously out of control.

The next thing she saw was darkness as she shut her eyes. Her body slammed down on the pavement. A sharp pain erupted from her knees and palms as the cement ripped open her skin. Her headphones fell out, bringing her back from her daze into the real world.

"I-I'm sorry, I-I'll try to make it up to you." A voice said, rushed and terrified.

Y/N stared at her scratched hands, her back facing the person who slammed into her. She noticed a skateboard lying on the ground in front of her.

"Hey, are you okay?" Said another voice, more deeper.

Y/N felt irritation as she stood up and turned around. She was prepared to snap at them and yell about how he could've jumped off the skateboard instead of slamming his body into hers.

But what she wasn't prepared for was how good looking these boys were.

She stared at them for a while, her eyebrows slightly raised.

"Are you okay?" The taller boy asked, again. Her wore a dark blue shirt with black sweats.

The boy next to him was younger and more her age with a light green hoodie and jeans.

Y/N blinked, remembering her pain and what she planned to do.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Y/N wanted to glare at them but she knew it wasn't their fault. So instead she decided to slightly hint that she was pissed at them.

"I-I'm sorry, does it hurt?" The boy in the green hoodie asked, looking at her bruised hands.

"If you're going to practice your skateboarding skills, you know there's a park nearby, right?" She said, a little coldly.

"I-I-I'm sorry, my brother was teaching me while we walked home a-and I wasn't paying attention to what was in front of me and we will make up for whatever injuries you have—in full expense—" the boy rambled on. His face was a little red, almost... almost like he was blushing.

She remembered seeing the boy blush somewhere before... in science, he was her classmate in her science class. Actually, Tim been most of her classes. He never talks to anyone though, always keeping to himself and getting straight A's. Tim wore a ugly pair of glasses to cover up his face in class but when she could see his face correctly, he was actually really cute.

"Chill, it's just scratches." Y/N said, waving off his offer to pay for all of her injuries. "But if you insist on giving me money, I'm not going to complain." She joked. "But seriously, if you don't know how to skate don't try to skate around innocent people unless you want to be charged with murder."

"O-Oh... um—" Tim said, averting his gaze to his shoes, not sure what to say.

"We're just glad you're okay." The boy in the blue shirt butted in.

Y/N nodded, collecting her fallen backpack and continuing on her way home.

Tim watched her leave, his eyes glued to her back. Dick watched his younger adopted brother gape at the girl they just injured.

"So... you know her?" Dick asked.

Tim blinked, snapping out of his staring session. "O-Oh, yeah she's my classmate."

"You like her?" Dick asked.

Tim almost dropped the skateboard he was picking up. "N-No, I just... I just like watching her from afar. S-She's pretty, smart, funny and... " I'm stopped when he saw Dicks teasing smile. "I don't like her that way, that's all." Tim snapped, storming away.

"Do you even talk to her?" Dick asked, running up to Tim.

"I can't." Tim mumbled. "My body goes into a spasm when I do."

Dick chuckled, "I noticed."

They walked in silence while Dick planned to get his brother laid. Tim was lost in his thoughts and wondered if it was creepy that he liked a girl he never really talked to. People never talked to celebrities and they love them, is it the same thing?

"You should ask her about her injuries in class tomorrow." Dick suggested. The Wayne manor was in view. "Just to check on her." He added.

"I can't." Tim muttered.

"Sure you can," Dick nudged Tims shoulder. "Just ask her like a polite person you are and start up a casual conversation."

Tim ignored what Dick said and continued to walk faster. But his advice echoed in his mind as she went up to his room.

______

The class was buzzing all around Tim as he tried to control his breaths. His heartbeat was erratic and his mind raced with millions of scenarios where it could all go wrong and Y/N will think he's weird.

Gathering up his guts, he walked over to Y/N's table. His body felt stiff and put one foot in front of another.

"H-Hey, Y/N." he stuttered.

Y/N glanced up. "Oh hi, Tim." She greeted. Her friends stared at Tim, who never talked during class.

"I-I was wondering if your wounds a-are okay." He said, staring at her hands. His eyes looked anywhere but her eyes.

"They're fine, Tim." Y/N smiled. "I'm sorry about my harsh comment the other day, I wasn't in a good mood."

"I-It's okay." Tim quickly retreated. His mind went blank on how to continue the conversation but even when he got back to his seat, her smile and words still played over again in his mind even if she didn't say anything special.

Maybe when he can gather enough courage again, he will try to talk to her. Until then, he's probably just going to continue admiring from afar.
