Clark grinned nervously as he slid into the seat next to her.
Y/N L/N.
Her hair was in a loose bun, her eyes sparkled, intrigued by the shy boy who his behind large glasses, scared.
"So, what do you have down on your notes?" She asked, sliding over her composition book for him to see her notes.
Clark felt his heart shudder to a stop as she smiled sadly.
"What do you mean, you're going to give up your heart?" He demanded. His fist clenched tightly around the steering wheel as she bit her bottom lip.
"I'm going to give up my heart for my mom." She said, watching Clarks reaction. "It's the least I can do for her."
"You can't!" He blurted out, "What about me? What about your father?"
"I'm also giving kidneys to him." She said, her bottom lip quivering as she looked away.
"What?" He yelled.
The car pulled up to their apartment building, Clark pulled his keys out of the engine as he turned to look at the nervous girl.
"I'm donating my body parts for my parents." She said, her eyes where dreamy and far away, pondering about something. "It's the least I can do for my brother."
"But—"
"He looks up to them, they are his hero, fighting through all of that disease and sickness." She stared out the glass, her fist tightening on her lap. "They have a whole future. They would provide him. I can save them."
"What about me? What about your future?" Clark asked.
"I can't live on, knowing I could have saved a 3 lives." She protested, softly. "You have to understand, Clark."
"Y/N, plea—"
"I was hoping you would understand." She whispered.
Clark felt his words choke up in his throat as he sputtered. "Of course I understand—"
"Than you have to know I have to do this." She cut off, ending the discussion.
"I just..." Clark felt his voice trailed off, his voice cracking.
"Thank you for understanding, Clark." She smiled and softly at him, "Thank you for being such a great friend."
He swallowed, his mouth quickly turning dry.
"Yeah, anything for you."
"I like you, Y/N." Clark confessed.
They where swinging on swings Pa made out of old tired handing from a tree in Clarks backyard.
"I like you too." She smiled, "we are best friends." Her giggling breaking his heart.
"Of course." Stretching his mouth in imitate a grin, hiding behind his glasses and heartbroken eyes. "Anything for you."
She smiled, swinging higher on her swing. So high, that she didn't see Clarks feelings that where lying on the ground, broken.
Clark watched as she was lying in the box peacefully, her eyes fluttered shut as rain splattered on top of her face for a while before closing the casket.
The dirt made way for her as she was lowered down.
The funeral was black and white. Colorless. Like his world.
His umbrella was wet as the soft wind blew on the nearby trees and cloudy skies.
His brain racked old memories of her and him, lying bed, having long talks and the radio playing softly in the background as the tv hissed statics when the wind cut the connection.
"Do you believe in Aliens?" She asked, throwing a popcorn in her mouth.
"I don't see why not." He said, raising a eyebrow. "I mean, it's a big world."
Rain padded down on the window as Ma and Pa out in town.
"I want to meet one, one day." She said, dreamily.
"Maybe we'll meet one together." He shrugged.
Clark felt his tears held back.
People began to clear out.
Her parents where not here because they where recovering.
Her brother was gone, probably grieving.

A friend, a giver, a hero
Who tried to save everybodyClark tried for a smile but ended up holding a sob.
"You always did try to save everybody." Tears pooled in his eyes, blurring his vision. The lump in his throat was like a stubborn mountain, refusing to leave. "Why...."
His mouth let out a soft sob.
"I would have done it for you." He whispered, "anything for you not to leave..."
The sky crackled, the rain pouring down more harshly, probably sensing Clarks pain.
"I would have done anything for you."
Anything for you.
