Lucky Charm (Steve Rogers x Reader)

Steve picked up the little badge that was in his pocket the whole time.

He smiled, sadly, while memories came flashing back to him.

She smiled, handing him the bright badge. Steve was going off to war and she was concerned, but gave him her blessing still.

"For luck." Planting a kiss on his cheek. "And everything else you need."

"Thanks, Y/N." Steve smiled.

Steve still had the little note she handed him before he left on the last mission of World War 2.

In the letter, she confessed that she's always been in love with him and even before the serum. She said that she knows that her feelings will never get returned and said she won't be seeing him after the mission.

When he woke up, he realized that he had always been in love with her. His feelings for her was stronger than his for Peggy as much as he loved her.

He missed her.

And it hurt that he couldn't say that to her. It also hurt that she probably died thinking that he never loved her that way.

Putting the badge in his pocket after kissing in, he got on ready to leave the place for his mission.

It's always been his good luck charm since then.

And he wished he could see her again. To tell her that he had always loved her, that he will always be hers.

"Let's go, Cap." The Scott Lang said to Steve.

Steve nodded, clipping on his shield on to his back before diving off.

The cold water made a sharp contrast to the hot jet. He swam up to the ship and knocked out the guard before kicking his friend.

Bucky joined him, slitting the throat of a guard that flopped to the ground.

"Steve, the control room." Bucky said, "Wanda and Clint will handle the snipers."

The rest of the team was on the ground. Bucky nodded and gave the signal as Steve busted open the door and ducked as he entered, a rain of bullets came his way that the shield blocked.

Letting his shield fly like a frisbee across the room, it knocked off 3 guards.

Bucky slammed the last guard against the wall and shot the other one.

"Aim's a little off." Steve commented, looking through the files for what he was looking for.

"Shut up." Bucky said, eyeing the door and raising gun to shoot any intruders.

But before Steve could say something back, he was sent flying across the room. A smoke grenade came rolling into the room as Bucky widen is eyes and pulled Steve out of the room.

A female figure was in the smoke. She was dressed in all black with a long h/c braid trailing done her back. A mask converted the bottom of her face like the one Bucky wore when Steve first saw him.

"Wait, I-I... I think I know wh—" Buckt started.

The girl didn't wait for Bucky to finish. She raised up a machine gun and shot them as the skidded across the floor.

"Who is that?" Steve yelled over the bullets.

"It's—" Bucky was cut off by a hand grabbing his throat and a raised knife.

"No!" Steve yelled, shoving the girl off.

The girl had no emotion in her eyes as she tried to cut Steve. The black eye makeup covered her eyebrows and anything unique about her wasn't there.

He hissed when she made a cut across his bicep. The blood came out in beaded droplets.

The girl was relentless and raised her two knives up but was intercepted by Bucky tackling her waist. She was pinned against the wall in no time.

Her foot was raised up to hit his sore spot.

Steve winced as Bucky sank to the floor.

She held the knife to Bucky's throat as Steve ran to him. She muttered something to Bucky in Sokovian.

Steve punched the girl in the jaw and sent her to the floor.

Muttering a sorry, he lugged up Bucky.

The roof of the control room was torn off by a red force and revealed Wanda smiling in relief when he met Steve's eyes.

Steve looked back at the girl.

She stepped out of the smoke of the cement from the raised ceiling.

His baby blue eyes met her dull e/c eyes.

He felt his mind go blank and his mouth fall open as he gaped at the girl.

Bucky slapped Steve's mouth close and nodded at Wanda who raised them up.

Her monotoned face suddenly turned to confusion as she glanced around her surroundings and at the green file she hand in her gloved hand. And when she met his eyes once more, he felt every emotion he had for her came out.
