Curiosity (Charles Xavier x Reader)

She came out of the dark like she was some ghost.

Everything was so mysterious around her. He couldn't exactly understand everything about her.

Being so used to be able to see everything, it make it a lot worse when he couldn't read her mind. It didn't help that she he tried, she would smile at him making him wonder more than he should.

Curiosity killed the cat, they said.

And it did.

It ripped the cats heart out and played with it while the cat watched, entranced with the drilled blood and ripped flesh.

Charles wondered for more, he wanted to know everything. He searched for more, everything that's he's every done and every word she's every word she's spoke from her pretty lips.

But all it spoke was lies.

Seeping with poison, him kissing it everything their lips met. But it only brought him back for more.

She was coated in anything but sugar. Every spice and sour taste it brought to his mouth made him more curious.

Curious enough for him to fall.

And he fell, tumbling down the rabbit hole. It was wonderland. It was beautiful, haunting and enchanting as he explored every corner in wonder.

It wasn't until he realized that he could never go back, he started to realize why there was never a exit.

When he first saw her step out of the shadows, he thought she was his savior.

But now he looked back on it, she was anything but that.

Curiosity killed the cat, they said.

And he wished he stayed killed.

But satisfaction brought it back, they continued,

And he was back, but still in the hole he dug himself. Still wondering where the exit was. And still wandering for the cure to the poison that was so sweet on her lips.

She truly was the monster they feared.
