Unsaveable (Barry Allen x Reader)

His addiction was getting the best of him. She wasn't even there. He sometimes felt scared of what he might do for her.

He'd just watch her from a distance, admiring a living, breathing piece of art.

Until Iris introduced them.

Barry felt his palms sweat another gallon and his mouth running dry as she smiled at him and held out a hand. He discreetly wiped his hand on his shirt to get rid of some sweat then shaking his hand as his heart pumped happiness.

Barely felt his breathing quicken it's pace as he felt the world slowing down.

"Nice meeting you, Barry." She said, sending him a blinding smile.

"Uh, it's nice to shake your— I mean meet you." Barry stuttered.

Iris sent him a look with a smug smile. He tried to not freak out as he stared at her, unblinking. She turned around a began chatting with Iris.

He quickly walked out by the tripped over the flat surface, falling on his face.

"Oh my god, are you ok?" Y/N asked, looking worried.

His heart thumped as she looked at him and his cheeks glowed a bright red.

"Y-Yeah..." He stuttered.

She held out a hand, as Barry held his breath and stared at it.

"Need help?" She asked, tilting her head to a side.

His cheeks burned again, "U-Uh sorry."

"It's ok."

Barry looked away, embarrassed.

"Are you hurt?" She asked, checking him for wounds.

"No— I'm fine." He said, praying for the sweet release of death.

And when she turned around, He dashed out. Embarrassed and Humiliated by fate, he ran to back home to have a freak out session.

"Barry!"

He stared at Y/N, who was in the arms of the Yellow Man.

"Y/N!" He yelled, scared and frantic.

"Go!" She yelled. The yellow man clamped his hand over her mouth.

"Let her go, This is between you and me—"

"Exactly, Barry." His vibrated voice said, "And she is a part of you."

He pushed her over to the ledge of the bridge. Sirens wailed in the distance as the distance as they both ignored the police.

"Stop!" Barry plead, "Please."

"I'm afraid this is just fate." His robotic voice said, dripping with pity. Barry felt the burning sensation of anger, it was almost like the Yellow Man was mocking him.

His hand pushed her over the ledge and she fell down the the deck by the dock.

"No!"

Barry zoomed down but it was to late. Y/N's body was dropped in the ocean. He jumped into the cold water, not caring about Cisco and the suit.

Through the water, he spotted her.

Barry grabbed her familiar hand and pulled her on the the beach. A piece of wood was lodged by her hip, near her torso.

She sputtered to life when Barry have her CPR.

"Barry..." She spotted the large chunk of wood attached to her flesh. "Oh... My god."

"You're going to be okay." Barry reassured, picking her up and whizzing her to Star Labs.

"Barry!" Caitlyn said, then seeing Y/N. "Oh my god!"

He set her down by the bed while Caitlyn gawked.

"Well? C'mon!" Barry snapped.

"Barry..." Caitlyn said, heartbroken. Barry knew it wasn't her fault. No one can survive a piece of wood literally lodged in her rib cage.

"It's ok..." Y/N coughed, "You can go Cait."

When Caitlyn left, Barry looked around for Cisco.

"Why did she leave?" Barry said, frustrated.

"Barry, you and I both know I won't make it." She said, her voice turning breathless, quickly.

"We have to at least try!" He snapped.

"It's ok Barry," Y/N whispered, weakly. Blood poured out of her wound like a broken faucet.

"We can save you!"

"I'm unsaveable." A dry smile was on her lips.

She coughed up a bubble of blood, making Barry widen his eyes.

"Cisco! Caitlyn!" He yelled.

"Barry... Keep moving.." She said, blood falling in the clean floor.

"Y/N, just h-hold on.." He said, frantically applying pressure on the gaping wound.

She carefully laid herself down and let a faint smile on her face as she embraced death. Barry watched in horror as her heart stopped beating.

"Y-Y/N" Barry sobbed.

Caitlyn and Cisco stood at the door, silently mourning and crying.

Dr. Wells appeared and smiled, his plan already in action.
