Chapter 36

I slowly unlocked the door, surprised by how much my hands were trembling. I then sat back down and felt my heart beat quicken in panic when Geo sat next to me. He didn't put his arm around me or anything, he didn't even sit close to me. He just sat a few centimetres away from me and stared at the floor.

"You're breaking up with me?"

I gasped, and then coughed when I chocked on some spit. Geo looked at me in panic, and went to help me but I then straightened up and showed him I was fine. 

"I thought you liked me." He sighed, sounding a little angry.

I wanted to tell him that I do like him so badly, but I knew that I was doing the right thing by breaking up.

"I'm sorry Geo." I whispered, wanting to sit next to him but knowing that I shouldn't. "Ugh.. I don't know what to do."

Geo sniffed, and when I looked towards him I could see that he was crying.

"Oh Geo.." I gasped. I went to cuddle close to him but quickly stopped myself. "Geo.. please be strong for me."

This only made Geo cry more. It took so much to not cry myself, but I knew that I had to be the strong one in this situation. 

"I can't let your parents take you away from me." He whispered, staring at the floor. I wanted to stare at the floor as well, but I couldn't take my eyes off him. "If you leave.. I wont be the same.."

"If I leave I wont ever be able to see you again."I added. I knew that what I said what just making things worse but the words kind of just escaped from my mouth. 

Now Geo was looking at me and I was staring at the floor. From the corner of my eye I could see that his face was full of despair and panic. "No.." He whispered, "no.. that is never going to happen Lucy."

I sighed and didn't say anything because I didn't believe him. Geo went closer towards me to cuddle, but I quickly stood up and walked away. As much as I want to cuddle him I knew that I'd regret it later, I need to get over him and I may as well make a start now.

But, to my surprise Geo followed me. He put his arms around my waist which made me stop in my tracks. He then kissed my neck and stayed in his position. I couldn't help but rest my hand on top of his. I then closed my eyes and felt tears trickle down my blushed cheeks.

"I wont let you go." He whispered. "Trust me."

I wanted to tell him that I trusted him but I had to bite my tongue so I wouldn't. 

"Don't act like that." He chuckled, letting go of me so he could stand in front of me. He grabbed my two hands and we both stared at each other. Geo's eyes were full of tears, the same as mine.

"I'm sorry Geo." I said. I then let go of him and walked towards my bed where I laid down and cried as silently as possible.
