The teacher turned around and stared at me for a while, still crouching down. He then laughed and stood up, towering over me. It was hard to look up at him whilst not feeling intimated but I stuck my chin up a bit to show him that I'm not scared. Geo stood beside me and grabbed my hand. From the corner of my eye I could see the entire classes eyes on me.
"You've only just come into this school and you already think you're the school queen or something." He said angrily. His comeback was so terrible that I had to bite my tongue to not burst into laughter.
"Well that's your opinion." I shrugged. "I just don't like how uncomfortable you're making poor Hazel feel."
The teacher then looked at Hazel, who shrunk when she looked at him back.
"Am I making you feel uncomfortable, Hazel?"
He talked to her so sternly that to be honest I wouldn't blame her if she said no, he's so scary. Hazel swallowed some spit and then said in the tiniest squeak ever:
"N-no, sir."
Mr Clarke then turned around, back to me, and looked so pleased with himself that it made me sick.
"Now sit back down you little brat."
I glared at him for a while, wanting to carry on the argument. I then sighed when I realised that there was so point and walked away, Geo's hand still clutching mine.
"What?" Mr Clarke spat to the class who was staring at him in disgust. There was silence, and then finally someone said something.
"You're a monster." A boy whispered, loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.
I could see how angry this made Mr Clarke feel as his entire face went bright red. He glared at the boy with such anger that the boy's tanned skin instantly turned pale.
"MEET ME AT BREAK WITH GEO THEN, JOSHUA." He yelled so furiously that I felt my own skin turn pale. "THEN YOU CAN TALK TO ME ABOUT HOW I'M A MONSTER, I'D BE INTERESTED TO HEAR WHAT YOU'VE GOT."
I wanted to stand up to him so badly but unfortunately I was too scared to. Everyone looked just as scared as I was.
"Told ya." Geo whispered into my ear.
I let out a sigh and then kissed Geo's cheek. "I'm glad you're not like that." I whispered back, smiling. Geo smiled back and then kissed my hand.
"I could never shout at you like that."
He then pecked me on the lips and stood up, stretching after everyone else stood up to leave the class as the bell went. I stood up too and let out a yawn, soon after walking outside with Geo's hand in mine. Hazel went beside me and opened her mouth to talk but got interrupted by the hideous teacher.
"Hazel, stay here please." He demanded calmly. Hazel stared at me in panic, obviously not wanting to stay with him. I think she expected me to stand up to her but unfortunately I was too scared. I just gave her a sympathetic smile and patted her on the shoulder, watching her as she slowly walked towards Mr Clarke. Mr Clarke glared at me until I was out of sight and then slammed the door shut.
"What a monster." I whispered. Geo nodded and then went to his locker, slamming it open.
"This school is full of monsters, Luc." He sighed, grabbing his books out. I didn't need to as I had put mine in my backpack. "But I know that the people here are gonna like you, you're confident, pretty and kind." He kissed my head and then began walking. "I'm a lucky boy."
"Oh shut up!" I giggled, playfully pushing him away. "I'm none of those things."
Geo rolled his eyes but the smile on his face stayed there. "You'd be surprised my friend." He told me, "when you were up there defending Hazel whispers were going around about how cool you are." His eyes then stared at a boy who was standing on his own whilst smoking. "Just remember, Dylan is not as cool as you may think he is."
I nodded, staring at the boy as well. He must be Dylan. He was handsome, very handsome. But the smoking just put me right off. I wouldn't even think about kissing someone who smokes, it grosses me out. But why would I fall in love with him anyway? I have Geo I don't think I'll ever be able to replace him anymore.
"He seems like a jerk." I murmured, my gaze still stuck to him when he looked at me. He let out a somehow mischievous smile but I didn't do anything back. I then looked away but could see from the corner of my eye that his eyes were still stuck to my face.
"He's staring at you." Geo informed me, sounding irritated. "He's heard a lot about you."
"How come?"
"People.. they think you suits him." Geo then let a sigh and stared at me with worry. "Please don't fall for him."
"Geo, I wont." I stopped walking and so did Geo. I then held his two hands and stared at him right in his eyes. "I promise."
Geo smiled and kissed my head, soon after walking to class again. I walked too but could still see Dylan stare at me as though I was an alien. Eventually he looked away, but began running towards me.
"Well shit."
