LUCY'S POV
After the final interview, I was directed towards the same waiting room where I waited for my mum to collect me in complete devastation and panic. Every now and then I'd scan across the room in hope to find an escape route. But there was no point, even if I tried I'd still get caught which would result in me getting into even more trouble. I guess I just have to pray for the best.
"This is so unfair." I mumbled to myself whilst staring at my shoes in a strop. I don't deserve to go back home. I deserve to stay with Geo..
"Your mum is coming in about an hour." A police man informed me. I nodded whilst still staring at the floor. I didn't want to say anything in case I'd start crying. He then looked at me for a while and walked away.
Geo's POV
After walking out of the interview with a cop, I stopped in my tracks and waited for him to do the same. After he did, he turned around with a face full of annoyance and crossed his arms. Before he could say anything, I quickly said:
"Can I talk to Lucy before she goes?"
The cop thought for a while and then loosend his tense shoulders. After letting out a long sigh he finally responded by saying: "You have half an hour."
Although half an hour wasn't long enough, it was obvious that the cop could tell how overjoyed I was feeling. He gave me a smile and then opened the door where Lucy was. She was crying her eyes out, and I instantly ran up to her to give her a hug. She let out a squeal of shock but eventually she calmed down and hugged me back whilst resting her head on my chest. I smiled and could see a smile on her face too.
After about five minutes I realised that I had a time limit and quickly let go. "I have less than half an hour with you." I told her. "I know you're mad at me but I can't let you leave with bad memories of me."
Lucy wiped away tears from her eyes and grabbed my hand. "Although you've broken my heart about ten times I still love you."
"Don't leave."
Lucy let out a little laugh and then rolled her eyes playfully. "I don't have a choice."
Even though a smile wouldn't escape from my face, sad tears began filling up in my eyes.
"Don't cry. Just don't think about it." Lucy advised. I closed my eyes, praying for the tears to somehow "leave" but when I opened them again the tears just began rolling down my cheeks and Lucy was crying too.
"We're such a mess right now." Lucy chuckled. I smiled and then tucked a strand of hair behind Lucy's ear, something which I do way too often.
"Remember when you had no where to sleep so I slept outside with you?" Lucy asked with a chuckle.
"Yeah!" I laughed. I opened my mouth to say another memory but remembered that there was drama behind it. Instead, I said: "why don't we start a new start?"
"Yeah but we wont be able to see each other in person anyway." Lucy remembered, her brightened up face turning sad again.
"I can try to meet you in England."
"Yeah.." Lucy sighed but she sounded doubtful as if that would ever happen.
I put my hand on her cheek and leaned in forwards, asking for a kiss. But to my surprise Lucy gently pushed my hand away and gave me a look full of guilt.
"I'm sorry Geo but we shouldn't." She said. "It would just break our hearts even more when we split up."
I was about to say something but then got interrupted by a cop.
"Your parents are here to collect you, Lucy."
