It was Sunday. The day where my new life begins.

I stood at the door and hugged my dad whilst crying. He was crying too, which shocked me because I've never heard him cry. I mean I can't blame him.

My mum was in work as always. Words can't begin to describe how guilty I felt that when she comes back to her house she'll have no one. Not only am I running away but my dad is. He's packed too and chosen a new, big house to spend the rest of his life in.

After our ten minute hug I jumped into the taxi and hugged my dad goodbye until he was completely out of site. After that I burst into tears, wiping my snotty nose with a tissue the driver offered.

"Don't you worry kiddo." He said with a kind tone in his voice. "Leaving family is the worst but best thing that can ever happen to you. You're going to find independence, a boyfriend and then a family."

"I think I've already found the one." I mumbled, smiling at the floor whilst thinking about Jack. Yep, not Geo. Jack.

"What's his name?" The driver asked with a hint of amusement in his voice. I didn't get offended by that, I suppose 17 year olds are still young. Jack probably isn't the one, the one is probably some guy who's in a school I've never heard of right now.

"Jack." I told him.

"Cool." The driver replied. He then put on some music to stop any awkward silence and began humming to the tune. I joined him, not really realising what I was doing.

Twenty minutes or so passed and I was finally there. I payed him with a generous tip seeing as I had lots of money on my credit card anyway because of the whole social media success and grabbed my suitcase, backpack and two heavy bags.

I walked into the airport after texting Jack

"See you in twelve hours"

and went in the line to start my journey.

"Jack!" I screamed, running up to him and giving him a huge hug when I saw him waiting for me outside of the American airport. The sun was shining in our faces so we were looking at each other with squinted eyes.

"America's so beautiful!" Jack gasped to me, his eyes wide with happiness.

I nodded, feeling proud even though I'm from the UK. "Ok so first we need to hop into the taxi and get into our hotel."

Jack nodded and made his way to our taxi. He held a bag of mine even though I told him about five times that I'm fine to carry it myself. We were already arguing like a married couple but I found it quite amusing.

"I can't wait for this Lucy." He told me with a smile when we sat in the taxi. He grabbed my hand and I let him. I was far too happy to

I just stared at him back with a smile whilst thinking about whether I choose him instead of Geo.

I guess I'll find out if I still love Geo or not when I see him which will be in a few hours time..
